Creative Inspirations Sketch challenge!!

Hello my friends,
I hope it is cool and comfy wherever you are!!
It is the dawn of a new day in the UK
which means that it is time for a new challenge at
Creative Inspirations
which is a wonderful sketch by Nat (scroll down)
We are sponsored by MelJen's Designs this week
and she was kind enough to give the team
some images to play with, thank you!!!

Clearly, I have used a MelJen digi stamp, coloured in prismacolors and then distressed around the edge of everything with Vintage Photo, around the image I have used prisma markers to add a shadow around the image. I've used MME papers, kraft CS, I used my MS punch to create my world famous doily frame LOL, toot toot!! The heart charm is Blue Moon Beads and the hearts I've added are a hAnglar accesory stamp, Crystal Stickles was added here and there for a bit of razzle dazzle.

There was a hearts challenge out there in Blogland but I cannot recall where at the mo' but that was the reason for going with all the heart decor. This week I have some extra special things to blog along with my project. The kids were due for some art time, so I let them at Nat's sketch and this is what they've created:

Ellias (3)

He got to pick out all of his own things, from the stamp to the papers to the flowers, lol, it's okay, he hangs out with boys all the time, a few flowers won't hinder his upbringing too awfully bad!! He got to put double sided tape on all the cut pieces and had a genuine fit when he laid down one of the pannels crooked!! We had to lift it up and start again, too funny!!

Anna (7)

Anna has joined in with a wonderful MelJen image, coloured in markers with a monotone paper selection that lets the image and accesories do the talking, lol!! Look at those rosey cheeks :)

Jasli (9)

Jasli has used the wonderful Tilda with basket?? from this years Easter release, coloured with Crayolas, MME and K & Co. papers and a fine selection of mulberry flowers to really set this creation off!!

Awwwww, now isn't that fun....
I hope you can stop by this week and join in with the challenge. Before I go, let me show you the sketch:

Today will be a double posting for me as I have another sample card from TPS to share with you all!! Come back soon :) It posts at 5 PM Aus, which means middle of the night for me, meh, I'm up anyway, lol!!

Take Care for now,
Stephanne

Fashionista Evie, new Lil Lolita's release!!!

Hello blogging buddskies,
I finally get to share with you
what I've been busying myself with lately,
and for once, I will spare the waffling
and get right to business!!

Tickled Pink Stamps,
Kellie Waffling Winnell's Aussie based stamp shoppe,
is revealing its second series of our
wacky yet wonderful Lil Lolita's starting NOW!!
With 6 characters in total,
there will be a reveal each day
with a chance to win
some of new rubba with each preview.
Hop on over to the TPS Store Blog
and leave lots of loving comments
to be in the running with the RNG thingy,
but not before leaving me some lovin', of course.

I am wild about this release!!
The amazing artist, Christina Dee
has whipped us up a wonderful journey through time
with her beautifully clever dollies,
all done up in the appropriate era-friendly garb.
We start your journey through ages with
the darling Evie from the Roaring Twenties.

Isn't she darling in her cap with her
rather racey given the times dress and hair??
Hubba hubba!!!
I've coloured her in distress inks and cut her out, placing her on top of another stamped image that has been sprayed with glimmer mist. The DP is K & Co., MS doiley punch, loads of stash goodies, including some of my new deliciously fabulous "twiddly bits" laces and pearl sprays are all from my stash.

These cuties will be available for preorder at
Tickled Pink Stamps
just as soon as we reveal them,
they are $10.65 AUS, they come unmounted,
and just to be perfectly clear:
TPS SHIPS STAMPS INTERNATIONALLY!!!
Woooooohoooooo!!!

Through the next week I will be joining in with the rest of The Pink Ladies with several more samples for our latest Lil Lolita release, I hope you will stop by TPS to see the wonderful work the girls have created. This week will be a busy one here at "stephanne blogging... oh dear." What a dumb name, eh? Rhetorical, please don't answer that, but DO come back to check out the samples :)
Take Care for now my pals,
Stephanne

Creative Inspirations Colour Challenge!!!

Hello my blogging friends,
it's that time of the week again,
a new challenge at
Creative Inspirations
is upon us, we have a colour challenge for you:
TURQUOISE, CREAM, and GOLD ONLY!!!
Aside from skin tones, hair and maybe a leaf or two,
in order to qualify for the prize this week,
you gotta stick to the colours.
I was struggling at first,
but as the creation came together, I must say,
what gorgeous colours!!

*****I owe details, but I can NOT be late to work again. I narrowly escaped getting written up on my last shift, I can't go tempting the powers that be again!!****

Okay, I am back on here and no, I wasn't late for work, lol, not that time anyway!! So my image is coloured in Prismacolor pencils and then I added a bit of Stardust stickles to Tildas dress, antique linen stickles to her shoes and her hair has been highlighted with Gold Lame Smooch and Sakura white gel pen that I then went over with Stickles, so her hair twinkles when it catches light in just the right spot. I distressed and edged everything in vintage photo, my cream base cardstock was distressed with scissors, then I added loads of gold Stickles, the DP is a combo, stipes are Graphic 45, flowers are K & Co. and the flourish paper is BoBunny. The oak leaf MS punch has come out to play in my floral arrangements which consist of stash flowers and twiddly bits from a wonderful bloggy buddy who shall remain nameless, as I don't want her to be hounded for stamen, but a huge thank you to her, she knows who she is, I LOVE them!!! The layer of trim beneath the golden American Crafts ribbon is by Prima, as is the big turquoise flower, all other items are from the stash.

You can click on the pictures to enlarge them, as I'm sure you well know!!
The sketch was provided by Friday Sketchers and PaperPlay Challenges is hosting a Something Old challenge (big turquoise flower and golden ribbon)
Be sure to stop by Creative Inspirations this week to see our lovely Tildalicious samples. What a coincidence, lol!!

Take Care in this heat,
drink clear fluids, take frequent breaks,
blah blah blah!!

Embossing with Magnolia Down Under

Hello to all of you weekend bloggers,
it's Sunday in Australia and that means it is time
for a new weekly challenge over at
Magnolia Down Under
This week we want to see some

embossing

either with your heat guns or with your
cuttlebugs and big shots,
emboss it, use a Magnolia image
and come and enter your project at MDUC
so we can come by for a visit :)

I have finally had a play with the "IT" stamp of the season, Bubbling Tilda, and it comes as no surprise that I LOVE her!!! I stamped her on Gina K cs in clear embossing liquid and sprinkled on crystal embossing powder and heat embossed, also stamping her a second time so that I could piece her wing later. I stamped her twice more with Archival ink so that I could layer her up good and proper, once for the entire form less the rear wing which is on the base cardstock, and once again for the arm. Once done cutting and slicing, I popped her up with foam dots, adhering the top wing down with glue at the base of the wingspan.

I'd like to tell you that my swirls were done through embossing but they weren't. Those are Inkadinkado swirls stamped in Broken China then stickled in Crystal which gives a gorgeous aquatic effect. The shadowed effect was done by distressing the bottom image in Bundled Sage and then by dabbing an old stiffened distressing pad over the top of the shadow with Milled Lavender.

The DP is Basic Grey from the Wisteria pack, the project has been distressed in Broken China and the CS has been stickled in Crystal, the flowers are spritzed in Tattered Angels glimmer mist, placed together with fern leaves from an EK Success punch, the square doily was tucked down to size and the sentiment and swirls were done with Inkadinkado stamps once again in Broken China and stickled in Crystal. I mized a few flourishes together and freehanded here and there til I was satisfied with the swirlyness. Until I can get my grubby little mits on some Stempleglede flourishes, this will just have to do, lol!!

Holy hell, that was a lot. No question left unanswered... So I will pop this in at a few challenges:

Just Magnolia is having an In The Garden challenge,
Stamp Something wants to see Summer Somethings,
Stamp With Fun is hosting a fairytale challenge,

so I took my friend Tilda outside to be in her natural element and tried to snap an artsy fartsy picture beneath my beautiful blooming bush and this is what happened:

I've been spending so much time with paper these days that my concept of lighting is slipping horribly, but nevertheless, look what is blossoming in my backyard, woohoo!! For those of you still with me, WAKE UP!! Hehee, hey, I have a blog candy thingy to post so keep an eye on my blog over the next few days :)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

To the fellas, go fly a kite!!!

Hello everybloggy buddies,
it is the dawn of a new Wednesday in the UK
and that means it is time for a new challenge at
Creative Inspirations
This week we are asking you to create
ONE FOR THE BOYS!!!
What will your one be?
I can't wait to see!!!!

This precious little hAnglar was a birthday present from a very dear blogging buddy, I won't name her, I don't want her to get pummeled with requests from eager hAnglar fans, lol!!! This stamp called Pojke med drake, which I imagine means something like Pojke with kite.... was coloured in distress inks, I stamped the image another time to create a shadowed background courtesy of Faded Jeans distress ink and a warm greey Prismacolor marker, and popped him up with foam dots, I also ran some string through the kite to enhance the image. The papers are K & Co., the lace is that yummy Tickled Pink Stamps house specialty, find it here, brads and metal sentiment are by Making Memories, the gingham is from Hobby Lobby and the button and hemp are from my stash. I distressed the papers in Brushed Corduroy and used my scissors to distress the edges of, well, everything.

Did you already notice that there's a
hAnglar challenge blog
for us to play in out there??? Hot diggity dog!!! Their challenge this fortnight is a themed one, give our creations a Shabby-look which I hope I have done well :)Cupcake Crafts is hosting a For the boys challenge as well, so I will pop this in over there as well as Friday Sketchers, as this is my rendition of their fabulous sketch, and the splendiferous Stamp Something is having a Happy Somethings challenge!!

I hope you will pop over to Creative Inspirations with your projects this week, I've put together a little prize for one lucky winner that will surely make you smile :)
Take Care for now,
Stephanne

Everything grows with love...

Howdi Blogger Buddies,
I hope your Sunday has been a glorious one!!!
I have had my "mojo" pack up and take a mini-vacation on me here, took me 4 days to put this card together, it must be the humidity, blarg!!

This is my fathers Fathers Day card, I know this isn't particularly manly, but I think it will remind my dad of my green thumb gardening skills as a youth, so it works!! It says "Everything grows with love," which I am hoping he takes to mean that I appreciated his stern ways. You see, in my rebellious teenage years, whenever I got into real deep trouble at my dads house, I had to do loads of yardwork as punishment, I won't mention the crimes done to get the yardwork "time", lol...

I have used the adorably sweet Belle with watering can from Belles 'n Whistles stamps, I'm also going to pop this in over at their new Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog where the challenge is ribbon and punches, I hope my little branches count, I know the punchwork is minimal but uhhhh ummmmmmm I Iawwwwww, I planned on a border punch but plum forgot to use it. Again, I will blame the humidity!! My papers are K & Co., the beautiful ribbon from Claire, the bow from Kristy, the cherry blossom from Tracey, the sentiment is computer generated and then I gave it thee ol' banner effect, the image was coloured in distress inks, the distressing done in Brushed Corduroy, and hrrrrrmmmm, that lonely punch is a(n) MS branch punch.

I have used the sketch from The Beary Scrap Challenge Blog and I will also pop this in over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar as they are having a flower challenge and Crafty Creations is having a Child's Play challenge, and since this is a reflection of my youth, it surely counts!!!

Well, I hope you all have had some relaxing times this weekend,
I hope you'll stop by on Wednesday
when the next Creative Inspirationschallenge goes up.
Take Care,
Stephanne

Creative Inspirations Bouncing Babies Challenge

Hello to you all!!!
It is Wednesday in the UK
and that means it is time to reveal
our next weekly challenge over at
Creative Inspirations
which is a themed challenge for you:

Babies!!!

You won't want to miss out this week,
we have a yummynummy prize from our sponsor
The Pixie Cottage
as well as gorgeous samples from their DT
in addition to the work from we CI girlies!!
Here's my take on the challenge:

This card is for my stepsister Tina who will be having a baby girl this September, congratulations dear!! She doesn't even know this blog exists, but congrats to her anyway!!! And yes, I am spoilt, this is an image from hAnglars newest mini-kit, coloured in distress inks, BG dotty paper and BoBunny flourish DP, punch is Martha, who else!!! Prima flowers and pearl swirls and the satin ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, the sentiment is computer generated, it's teeny weeny and it says, "Sugar & Spice and everything nice." The doily has been distressed and stickled in diamond, and those flowers, though you can't see it in my picture, have chunky glitter all over them, so pretty!! I lub Prima!!!

I've got several challenges I intend to pop this in over at but I have to dart off to work right now.

Remember: Creative Inspirations + Babies = Awesome Prize

Okay, I'm baaaaaack!!!!
There's a new challenge blog out there,
Lovely hAnglar Only for those hAnglar fans to create with, the challenge this time around is to use the colours green and pink,
the wonderful sketch is from sketch saturday
At PaperPlay Challenges there is a Flowers and Sparkle challenge, Cupcake Craft Challenge wants us to Dazzle them

Hugs, Stephanne

Tickled Pink Monthly Sketch Time

Hello my blogging pals,
it's hard to believe it's been a month
since our first sketch challenge over at
Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly Challenge
This month we are using the featured sketch,
plus making a coordinating bookmark.

I've used the darling Lilith from TPS Lil Lolitas range, doesn't she have a look that says it all, lol, I love her!! K & Co. paper, gorgeous lace and mesh from TPS and Prima flowers, look at how they loaded them up with stamen, soooo dreamy!!!

Now here's where I have attempted to incorporate sarcasm into my papercrafting by using an old school Stampin' Up "Oh Happy Day!" sentiment, doesn't she look thrilled, heehee!! The bottom border, shaped with a ek success punch onto kraft then distressed in Brushed Curdoroy, is popped up with foam mounts and I've placed flowers round the shape to nestle the pullout bookmark into place.

Lilith was stamped onto Gina K cardstock and coloured with black prisma pencil, our running challenge set by Kellie for us Pink Ladies to spark our mojo is to colour our images in black and white only. Well, I must say, I love the effect, quite neat. I couldn't resist just a hint of blue in her eyes and on her roses, because to me, she looks a little bummed out, the colour matched her vibe I think. I added some highlights with a white Sakura jelly pen and added a touch of Diamond Stickles to the dress, shoes and skull.

So you'd like to join in but don't have any Lil Lolitas (((yet)))??? Well, that's okay, because our monthly challenge allows you to use any range of stamp that is presently sold at Tickled Pink Stamps, head on over HERE to see the list of brands. And nope, doesn't have to be purchased from TPS to play in our challenges!!

Spotty Dotty good times at MDUC this week!!

Hello Happy Bloggers,
I hope the day finds you well.
It is Sunday in Australia
and that means that it's time
for a new challenge over at
Magnolia Down Under
This week, we'd like to see spots!!!
Spots, blots and polka dots.
(do you think I have a future in nursery rhymes?)

I've used the darling Ladybug Tilda from the Raising the Ceiling collection. This was stamped for me by Sue, though I did end up buying the stamp, why mussy it up when I've already got something stamped and waiting for me, lol. She's coloured in distress inks and shadowed with Prisma marker with a touch or two of white Sakura gel pen. The main DP is graphic 45 with the little strip being K & Co. The punch is MS, pearls are Kaiser ,Stickled in Diamond and the laces are from my stash, distressing done with Old Paper ink and scissors. The sewing machine and I are doing quite well. She has asked me to keep a better eye on her bobbin and I agreed, it's part of our couples counceling. I'll stop jamming the bobbin with cardstock chunklets if she resists the urge to rip up my papers. Fair enough, right?

I've taken on the most strenous challenge a gal could face, a clean and simple layout from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. I want to pile mountains of flowers on this card, but I was so impressed by my own colouring with this one, I went looking for something to showcase it with, so here we are, a perfect match, and yes, I just tooted my own horn.

Okay, so I lost the battle with the embellies after all.
Who can resist a pile of flowers on their card,
not me, that's obvious....

So I will pop this in over at Midnigh Madness
PaperPlay Challenges is hosting a flowers and sparkle challenge, Creative Inspirations is hosting a stitching challenge and Charisma Cardz is hosting a flowers challenge.

When you craft this week,
remember to use some spots and dots
so you can enter your creation at
Magnolia Down Unda!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend my lovelies,
Stephanne

Finna comes to play at Creative Inspirations Beach challenge!!

Happy Wednesday everybody,
I hope you all are doing well!!
It's time for a new challenge over at
Creative Inspirations
which is a seasonal theme:
AT THE BEACH!!
And since I am already quite tardy,
let me just get down to business:

This is Finna the Summer Fairie by the fabulous Mo Manning, she's printed on Neenah cardstock and coloured with my Prismacolor pencils and baby oil, I free-handed the beach-esque background (as if you couldn't tell). I am a little disapointed with my pancake looking sandy shores, so moving right along, don't want to focus on the negatives, I used a white Sakura jelly pen to add highlights to Finnas hair, the wings and waves were Stickled in Diamond.

The papers are Basic Grey, the sentiment is Motivet, flowers are a medley of stash items and treasures that the darling Elise sent me, thank you dear. The scene idea and the wonderful floral lace came from the wonderful Sue, she always inspires me when I am in a pickle.

Time for some challenges, me thinks.

Cupcake Craft Challenge Summer Delights
Mo's Digital Challenge Celebrate Babies
Everybody Art Summer
PaperTake WeeklyFun Fun Fun!!!

Well, when you start creating your summery creations this week, I hope you will keep our BEACH challenge at Creative Inspirations in mind :)
Take Care, wear sunblock,
Stephanne

Crafting Lifes Pieces Sketch Time!!

Hello everybody,
I hope you all have had a wondrous weekend!!
The first of the month is upon us,
which means it's time for a new sketch at
Crafting Lifes Pieces
This month we are sponsored by
Digi Doodle
and they have very graciously allowed
our Design Team to play with some of their images,
thanks so much Digi Doodle!!!
Here's my take on this months sketch,
with Teapot Birdie from our sponsor:

I've 3-D'd the image, coloured with watercolour pencils and prisma pencils, the papers are K & Co. and all the yummy embellies are from my stash. I wanted to make it look a little bit like what a bird would collect for its nest with my choice of lace, ribbon, hemp and button!! My sewing machine may be working, but I seem to have forgotten how to use her, lol!! Look at all that wobbly sewing, better yet, don't...

I'm going to pop this in over at PaperPlay Challenges as they want to see themes that are up in the air, Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is hosting a Buttons and Blooms challenge and V is for Vintage over at ABC Challenges. Now before I go, let me show you this fabulous sketch dear Chelsea whipped up for us, woohoo, I love her sketches, they are like a great pair of shoes!! You can dress them up or you can keep things casual, lol!!

I hope you all have a fabulous week!!
It's hot out, I'll be indoors crafting ;)
Take Care,
Stephanne
