Little Angel floats over to join Friday Sketchers

Hello my friends,
Good news for me and my computer problems,
I have finally come to terms with the fact that I MUST buy a new system. How's that good news? Well, me getting past the sticker shock and onto the window-shopping phase. Progress, slowly but surely. Anyway, these late-night posts often include the oddest of topics so I will stop before I start and get down to the brass tax of things, a card!!

I've used the sketch at Friday Sketchers to create this card with a fabulously cute Stamping Bazaar image, this one is called Little Angel and you can find it HERE. He was coloured in distress inks, a little bit of atyou spica was added to the cloud and wings and a bit of 3D lacquer to his eyes. You know, I keep saying HE, HIM, but this image could very easily be a girl, just draw on some itty bitty eyelashes et viola! Papers are Graphic 45 (stripes) and K & Co. (floral), charms are Jolee's, sentiment is computer generated, the doily is Wilton and the ribbon and lace is from my stash. Everything was distressed in Vintage Photo and scuffed up with scissors.

I figured I'd make something without an animal on it,
and without a big pile of paper flowers,
dont worry, everything is okay, it's okay!!
Welllll, I better go to bed,
where visions of sugarplum stamps dance in my head...
Have a wonderful weekend,
I hope to be visiting everyone soon!!

Hugs, Stephanne

Hansel with flowers and TSB candy info!!

Hi ladies and gents,
I hope the day (or night) finds you well.
I have a card to share with you
featuring the adorable Hansel
from The Stamping Bazaar

Hansel was coloured in distress inks, added a bit of Gold Lame Smooch to the hardware on his cute lil' outfit and glossed his eyes, DP is MME (floral) and K & Co. (stripes) and the embossed panel is from my sweet stamping friend Sue, thank you!! The flowers are a medley from my stash, as are the brads, lace and ribbon. IRL, there is no greenish cast on the card....

Now for the fun stuff!!
Do you like critters??
Do you like cute critters in adorable outfits???
Do you like cute critters in adorable outfits as candy???
I DO, I DO, I DO!!!
(I didn't even come close to that excited at my wedding, lol)
Well, Marina, designer of the most amazing critters
and proprietor of The Stamping Bazaar
and Kellie Waffling Winnell
have joined forces to bring
some delicious fat-free candy to blogland!!

And in rubbah too!!
Follow THIS LINK to be taken to the details!!
And HUGE congrats on the DT Coordinator position Waffles,
you'll do her proud, I just know it
*sniffle, sniffle, pat on the back*
(that was me attempting a cyber-tender-moment...)

Oooooooh, a challenge, almost forgot!!
Stamp Something is having a something flowery challenge which isn't really a challenge for me, but I hope they'll still let me play, lol, I tried to take it to the next level by incorporating not only a wide array of paper flowers but the image itself has flowers in it, woohoo, brownie points!!

Well, that should do for now!!
I just got a couple of TSB digis in my inbox,
yay!!!! I will have something to play with tomorrow,
too hot to go outside after all!!

Hugs, stephanne

Creative Inspirations Feelin' Fluffy Animal Challenge

Can I just beg for mercy straight away!!
My internet connection keeps crashing
and on top of that, Blogger wont load pics,
I can't leave comments without rebooting,
I did my Creative Inspirations commenting
this afternoon and nearly ripped all my hair out,
the frustration is getting to the point where.....
Well, you can guess how this blog-addict is feeling right now!!

Needless to say, I can't upload my project sample right now for this weeks challenge at Creative Inspirations but I can tell you what it is:

ANIMALS

Wow, okay, I decided to publish the post, then EDIT it and what do ya know!!! I have used a TGF critter for this little confectoin, papers are K & Company, the flowers are prima and the decorative brad is Basic Grey. The cupcake has Snow writer effect added to it and is 3D'd on top of a foam mount. I broke the cardinal rule of papercraft on this project: Once it's glued down, it stays down. I felt I needed to reposition the cupcake and the foam mount RIPPED Marlenes apron!! I decided, despite my desires to throw it away and start from scratch, that I will just have to send this to someone who isn't very detail oriented, lol, they might not notice?? It's just fluttering in the breeze, that's all....

I had a couple of challenges to add, but I see that my internet connection is flickering again, so I better get a move on before my whole post disappears and try to add to this in a little bit :(

Kitty Lovin' Time!!

How is everyone doing this fine Friday?
We are hot and humid here in Kansas,
I am so ready for Autumn, I can't even see straight!!
I've got a card to share,
it features the adorable Belle and her kitty friend
from Belles N Whistles stamps, this one's called
Kitty Love, find it HERE at BNW stamps.
I love Elisabeths designs, the details are always charming,
and the characters and their fuzzy friends do just as
Belles n Whistles claims, tickle my heartstrings!!

I've used K & Co papers, coloured the image with distress inks, then cut it out and mounted it on a shadowed image, less the bowl and jug, they are painted on the main panel for the illusion of depth, everything has been distressed within an inch of resognition with brushed curdoroy, then scissor edged, then the royal Stickles treatment in Stardust. The doily punch is MS and the retro flower punch is EK Success, flowers and stamen are Prima. Handmade tag stamped on Kraft with a TGF sentiment out of my new Sweet Tooth set by Marina Neira.

I want to add this in at a few of my favorite haunts, as well as a challenge I am new to, and I think late for, great Steph, way to make a lasting impression, lol, The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge
I have seen these brilliant sketches week after week
from my Aussie babes and thought, hey, why not??
Time to branch out, lol!!
At Crafty Creations
they want to see something cute or sweet
and I think this image is both!!
At Cupcake Craft Challenge
they are hosting a Cats and Dogs challenge,
At Fussy and Fancy
they are hosting a stitches, scallops and sparkle challenge
and of course, Belles n Whistles
is having a distressing challenge, HAD to use that as
the perfect reason for a play this week!!

Thanks for stopping by,
I hope you have a great weekend!!

Creative Inspirations deliciously sweet colour challenge

Hello to all of you,
it seems like a long time has past since I posted a card, but I am back, as it is time for a new challenge over at Creative Inspirations, it's a colour challenge of Chocolate and Mint. Now, being an ice cream enthusiast, I immediately thought, mint'n'chip ice cream, oh how yummy you are, but what about those delish girl scout cookies, those are pretty delightful too!! And oh my gosh, Land'O'Lakes chocolate mint cocoa, sooooooooo goooooooood....

For one reason or another, uploading my photos onto blogger turns them cool in tone, IRL, this is much more vivid, I'd upload to Photobucket but my computers security system WILL NOT let me navigate to that site!! Well now, this is a TGF image from a set created by Marina Neira called Sweet Tooth, coloured in pencils with a touch of white highlighter pen and crystal lacquer over the glass and their eyes. Papers are Basic Grey, I think the white flower is Bazzil?? Brads, lace and ribbon are all store-brand stuff from local craft stores.

So I get to enter some challenges this week, hot dog!!
Basic Grey is hosting a gingham challenge,
sketch from Double Dutch LOVED THIS!!!
PaperTake Weekly is hosting a cutie patootie challenge,
at ABC Challenges y is for you and me,
and I think that is all, but I can not lie, I got giddy seeing this!! The card fits perfectly for each challenge, something I am admittedly slacking on lately.

Well, I hope to see lots of you come over and join us at Creative Inspirations this week, I will see you guys a little later on this week with another creation :) Blogger has been a little kinder to me lately, so slowly but surely, I am making my bloghopping rounds, if you haven't gotten your regular waffles from me lately, I'ma comin', I'ma comin', like The Little Engine That Could!!

My dear, that Hansel is a cutie!!

Hello my friends,
I hope you are having a wonderful day so far,
or evening, wherever you are!!
You might have caught a previous post of mine
where I excitedly typed on about
Marina Neira opening up her own shop,
The Stamping Bazaar
I am really excited about this new venture of hers,
I love her creative designs and cute fuzzy critters,
so when I saw Hansel, it was love at first sight.

Hansel, find him here in rubber or digi, was coloured in distress inks then cut out and adhered to an identical shadowed image accomplished with Faded Jeans distress ink, the papers are a mix of Provo Craft (floral), Websters Pages (spots) and My Minds Eye (green backing), I've distressed in Vintage Photo and added a little Star Dust stickles to his bundle of wildflowers, which I decided, for the purpose of this project, are daisies. My sentiment is computer-generated, I resisted the punny version, just this once and went for dear instead of deer. Branch punch is by Martha and and scallop is Fiskars. Sketch used courtesy of The Beary Scrap Challenge, thanks ladies, loved it!!

Have you headed over to The Stamping Bazaar Blog yet?
There's presently a design team call going on,
and talk of fun give-aways and contests,
if you are into critters and cute kiddo stamps,
you should go have a looksie!!

Well, I must be on my way!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Jump Rope for Heart!!

Hello friends,
has Blogger been playing funky games on you?
I have been having trouble all-around!!
With comments, blog posts, etc.
So please forgive me for seemingly slacking off
on my Blogger duties, but there is only so much
frustration I can handle at any one given time, lol!!
Well, despite all that, we have a new challenge for you at
Creative Inspirations Wednesday Challenge Blog
and it is a themed challenge of
Let's Get Physical!!
Is anyone else humming Olivia Newton John
after reading that, or is it just me???
It's a sports themed challenge and I hope you can join us!!

I uhhhh, hmmmm, well, just ask my stepdaughters, they have assured me that jumping rope is indeed a sport, so I used this cute Penny Black image, coloured in distress inks, papers are by October Afternoon, the punch is by Fiskars. If you click and enlarge you can see how I decoupaged the image :) This is my attempt at Clean and Simple.

I used the sketch from Penny Black Saturdays
PaperTake Weekly is hosting an In The Garden challenge
and that will do as I am already late on this post, I blame blogger really!! I tried to write this up before work and it kept saying like lost communication with blogger, saving could fail or something like that, so I better hurry off and publish before he changes his mind again, lol!!!

See you here soon with some cute critter creations!!
Hugs,
Stephanne

Design Team call at The Stamping Bazaar!!

Hello ladies,
I thought I would take a moment, even though I am tempted to be greedy and keep the information to myself in hopes of increasing my own chances, hahahahahaha, that the superbly talented Marina Neira has opened her very own shop doors!! Many of you will remember those lovable squirrels Dexter and Doraline from Motivet, and more recently, Marina's CRITTERS over at TGF. The Stamping Bazaar will feature her rubber and digi designs and she is presently looking for 5 design team members to join her team. You can find all the details HERE.

Now you recognize 'em, don't ya!!
You can find this cutie in her shop now, his name is Hansel and sorry ladies, those flowers are for me ;)

I couldn't be more excited for Marina, it will be great for her to have her own place to showcase her artistic liberties all while allowing us easy access to her designs. My love affair with her critters runs deep, I think she draws the cutest designs, I love to colour and create with them, so naturally, I APPLIED for this spot!! It's sort of funny, as I recently took a trip down memory lane into my blog archives, back into mid 2009 where my critter creations dominated my blog and thought, awwwwww, how I miss those critters. So I ordered me a Sweet Tooth set from TGF to get over it, so to speak and then this!!! This exciting new venture, which I must kindly thank the Wonderfully Wafflelicious Kellie Winnell for directing toward, hot diggity dog!!

I will have some samples coming with Hansel and also from that TGF set soooooooon, in the meantime, head on over the the TSB Blog for all the details on applying for the DT!!

Hugs To All,
Stephanne

Sookie just wants to have fun with TPS Monthly Challenges

***EDITED TO INCLUDE MORE DETAILS****

Hello my lovelies,
how has your day been treating you, kindly I hope.
Well, as it happens, it is time for a new sketch over at
Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly Challenge
This is a challenge where you get to use the sketch provided along with ANY IMAGE that is sold at Tickled Pink, so it could be a Lil Lolita, a Magnolia, Kraftin' Kimmie, Sweet November, etc. HERE is the link to the store
to check out your company options, and no, it is not required that you buy/bought it from Tickled Pink Stamps, lol, but your image DOES have to be from a company that she carries in store.

I hope you will stop by the TPS Monthly blog to check out the sketch and samples this month, we have an AMAZING prize on offer, I wish I could win it, lol. The prize this month is the entire new release of Lil' Lolitas, The Fashionette Collection, woohoohoo!! You gotta be in it to win it, so please do head over!! Once again, HERE is the link :)

I tried to give Sookie a Cyndi Lauper overhaul as I LOVE me some Cyndi. You know her name is Cynthia Ann Stephanie Lauper and my name is Stephanie Ann, yeeeheeeheee!!! And I remember this one particular instance from school when a group of "jocks" were attempting to make fun of me (me: weird, simi-freaky, odd girl) and one of them said, "Hey, don't make fun of Cyndi Lauper," I thought that was hysterical and was also pretty well flattered too, lol. (RIP Koury) Okay okay, enough reminiscing, back to the card!!

Sookie is coloured in Prisma color pencils, yes, I am going through a pencil phase, she is also smooched in Gold Lame in some spots, then gold Stickles was added, her outfit was stickled in Diamond, her necklaces dotted with Liquid Pearls, and her hair highlighted with a white Sakura gel pen, shadowed around her with chalk then buffed it with baby oil, distressed the outer edges with Vintage Photo. Papers are K & Co. and scenic route, toole and flowers from stash, pearl stamen and strung pearls from Michaels, lace from Hobby Lobby, and the punch is by Fiskars.

And here's one where she twinkles.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will get a chance to check out the challenge this month, it's a good'un!!

******edited to add pertinent details left out in a whirlwind of sleepiness: Tickled Pink Stamps is one of many fabulous componies sponsoring Color Throwdowns 100th challenge and we thought it would be fun for us girls at TPS to try and use the colours too, sort of celebrating along with them, and here's that colour swatch for you:

And guess what else I left out... The sketch!!! My brilliance is alarming...

Okay, I hope that fixes things up right and proper.
Until next time, my ladies,
have a great weekend!!

Prima Ballerina moving into Creative Inspirations Wednesday Challenge!!

Hello to all of you beautiful people!!
I hope the day (or night) finds you well!!
It is time for a new challenge over at
Creative Inspirations Wednesdays Challenge Blog
and I hope you'll find this a fun one,
our theme for you is

On the move...

This can mean so many different things, an image that is moving action-wise, a literal move, like to a new home, a moving element on your card, and any other thing that you can imagine up, we'd like to see your creations of your "moving" ideas!!

This is an image called Twinkle Toes featuring Monica of the House Mouse gang, she is coloured in prisma pencils and her shadow was created in chalk, I've stamped around the image in Old Paper with some fun Inkadinkado swirls then dotted on top of the swirls with Buttermilk Spica glitter pen and Diamond Stickles.

It's been raining here, that means my natural lighting is next to none and my pictures have heavy shadows, but I hope you get the idea. Papers are K & Co., the flowers got the Stickle treatment, stamen from Prima and the Bridal Department at Micheals, as well as from my sweet friend Claire, the stringed pearls were also from Michaels, trim from Prima, flowers are mostly Prima except that lush pinched rose from Jodielicious, the lush organza was sent from Elise, that gorgeous gal!! Pearls are Recollections stickers that I just sort of reshaped, lace from JoAnne Fabric, MS doily punch and a Stickled Wilton doily. Is that it? NO. Distressed in Vintage Photo, CS has been distressed with scissors and then stickled.

Sooooooo, I am going to enter some challenges:
House Mouse and Friends is having a birthday bash for their wonderful teamie America, Happy Birthday!!! I have not finished up the inside of my card, but I have my sentiment printed out, it says, "May you be the Prima Ballerina, on your Birthday and every day,"
at Totally Papercrafts they are having 'one for the girls',
I used the gorgeous sketch from Stamp With Fun and I thnk that is it, my blog runner is playing games and not loading, so I couldn't go a-hunting for more places to stick this in at, lol!!

I hope you will think about our challenge this week at Creative Inspirations and come back and move us with your amazing work!!

Take Care,
Stephanne

Magnolia Down Under news........ paper???

Sometimes it astounds me how
much money I spend on supplies
when there are everyday things that work perfectly
and don't cost a fortune to get.
Think of old packaging or corrugated cardboard,
twine, strands, rubberbands and newspaper,
oh sweet newspaper!!
This week at Magnolia Down Under
we'd like you to include newspaper on your project.
It could be just a little, could be a lot,
either way, we want to see what you come up with,
be sure to swing by and see the rest of the teams
take on the challenge, their work is incredible!!

I know what you're thinking, what is this??? A little early to start Hallowe'en projects, isn't it? Well, no, no it isn't!! The images used are from last years fall release, and true to Magnolia form, they arrived too late to be used. Yeah, I said it. I guess that means I can get crackin' nice and early this year then, lol. Coloured in Prismacolor pencils, the papers are a medley of MS and DCWV, trim from Prima, a mix of flowers and punches, buttons and pearls are all too varied to name brands.

I had another go and Chelseas sketch from CLP Challenges, it is really fun to use, so many possibilities!! I've used the owl as an embellishment element instead of lace. I used a retro flower punch, MS branch punch and an EK Success border punch.

I'm having challenge withdrawals so I will pop this in at a few places:
Charisma CardsMetal Mickey (button)
Huh, just ran through my usual haunts and guess that's it...

Well, I hope you will get a chance to play with us at MDUC this week, this could be a really interesting affair!! And just an aside here, it is FINALLY raining here, thank goodness, I was worried about it being so dry with all the fireworks going on, or off rather.
Til next time,
Stephanne

Hello to all of you!!
I will get straight to it,
scroll down to see who the winners,
yes, WINNERS of my candies are,
and it is time for a new sketch over at
CLP Challenge
so here is my rendition of the sketch,
it is a fun one indeed!!

I've used a Penny Black stamp called Merci Bouquet! coloured in Prisma pencils and Stickled just a bit in Star Dust, the papers are DCWV from the Nana's Nursery stack, MS punches, flowers are from my stash. Click the image to enlarge for details, you can see the glittering flowers that way ;)

Not saying that I am unhappy with my card, but it didn't go as I'd planned. I will have another go at Chelseas sketch, as I had envisioned something romantic and vintage, this is not quite romantic and hardly vintage!! And here's a look at Chelseas wonderful sketch (I flipped mine):

I hope you will stop by and have a look at the DT samples, they are exquisite, we have a fabulously talented guest this month, Anne, whose creations will leave you speechless!!

Lil Lolita's Fashionette Reveal: Kellita, errmmm, I mean Willow...

Hello to all of you,
how's your Summer been treating you?
Or perhaps you are on the other side of the equator
so is it as cold there as it is hot here?
My grass burnt, seriously, it hasn't rained in weeks
and the soil has all but dried out,
watering doesn't do much more than tease the roots
of my poor thirsty plants :(
Anyway, you came to see the next sample card from
Tickled Pink Stamps Lil Lolita's debut,
not to read about my sallow plants,
so without further ado,
here is Willow (aka Kellita) from the Fashionette release:

Meet hippy chick Willow, with her bell bottoms and daisy patchwork, she is surely a blast from the past!! I've coloured her in Prisma pencils and gave her fiery red hair and lavender blue eyes to mirror our lovely boss lady who is a hippy at heart :) Thus, why I changed Willows name to Kellita, lol!! I coloured the blouse white and you know that the string through those eyelets is actually leather cord ;) She's got on cork-bottomed sandals and surely those should have been scarlet begonias, but I wanted to keep them white just to be difficult. Papers are K & Co. with more of that delectable TPS lace, flowers are from my stash. I've distressed everything in Brushed Corduroy and then Stickled around the CS of the image with Crystal.

I hope you have had a chance to pop over to the Tickled Pink Stamps Store blog to see all of the fun new images and how the DT has used them in such wonderful ways!! There are also several ways for you to win some of the new stamps so if you haven't already, go take a looksie!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
Stephanne
