The Stamping Bazaar Bikkie with Cookie and new release info!!

Good Afternoon stampers,
I hope your weekend is off to a great start!!
Me, I am doing some crafting (yay!!!)
and getting ready for my dads visit,
he is road-tripping his way from California to Kansas
and should be here next Friday!!
It will be nice to have some family around,
he and his wife will be my first visitors since
moving into our new home... Yeah.... I'm popular....

This is a creation I made for The Stamping Bazaar
featuring the adorable Bikkie with Cookie image!!
I've coloured with pencils, the papers are October Afternoon (checks) and Websters Pages (stripes), the punch is Martha Stewart, the sentiment is from a TGF stamp set and the rest of the goodies are from my stash. This card is neat, as I think it could be for a male or female, and would even work for a youngster.

In other TSB related news, today is the official release date for Shane, Marinas latest digi, stop by the store blog HERE to check it out, sort of a bittersweet story behind this one, so get your hankie out beforehand.

I will see you all soon, I have loads of things to blog in the next coming week.
Have you all started your seasonal crafting? Any Halloween projects going on yet???
Oh, and of course, if you haven't been by,
please stop by The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges
and sign up as a follower please!!! Please??!?!
We also have a starter-candy going on if you, ya know, enjoy candies...
Mmmmmmm, candy.... Makes me think of all these Halloween projects
I need to get moving on!!!

Creative Inspirations Bookmark challenge

Hello ladies and gents,
here I am running VERY LATE with this weeks
Creative Inspirations challenge,
which is to make a bookmark.
The teamies have created some masterpieces,
things you would want to showcase instead of
squishing between book pages,
I kept things simple for functionalities sake...

It's one of those papers that I've had for years that I have not been able to bear the thought of cutting and covering up, so I thought, hmmmmmmmm, this could work!! I'm going to give this to my boy, he is going to feel so special to have a bookmark to put in his If You Take a Mouse to School book just like his big sisters do with their books!!

That paper is imagination project Blue Cardigan Designs and the Kraft paper in Gina K, I used a square doily, folded it down to size, distressed the papers in brushed corduroy, then sewed each panel, then simply adhered them together.

Thanks for stopping by tonight!!
Have you stopped by
The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges
and checked out that yummy launch candy yet??
Go on, it's okay, they don't bite!!

This little cutie is Horus, and as you can see, he is roasting marshmallows, lol. Isn't he the cutest little dragon you've ever seen!!?? This little sweetheart is one of Marina's cherished illustrations, and I must confess, I was/am a little nervous and anxious, I hope I've done him justice!! I can tell that this cutie will be a lot of fun because in this card alone, I thought of 3 other ways I can hardly wait to colour him, I'll bet you are all thinking too!! Pink and purple, or red and yellow??? Blue on blue?? Too much fun!!

The papers are K & Company, ribbon and gingham are from Hobby Lobby, the gems are also K & Company and the punch is Martha Stewart. I have been getting regular inquiries about my colouring (thanks ladies *blushes*) so I am going to attempt to keep supply lists or at least photograph what I used to colour with for ya. This project was done with my Prismapencils. In addition to the supplies in the photo below, I've used a small amount of stickles and Crystal Lacquer.

Thanks for stopping by tonight,
I hope you have a great weekend!!!
Keep an eye out, as there is something exciting happening VERY SOON!!!
Something to do with those fuzzy wuzzy references....

Getting sketchy with Creative Inspirations!!

Hello all of you happy bloggers!!
I am running behind with my post, this could very well be the busiest week of the year for me, I won't bore you with ALL the details but I would like to wow you with this strange fact!! August 18th..... That would be my brothers, my stepdads, my step daughters and my friend Nicholes birthday. No joke.... So uhhh, I have to cut this short and get to cake and card makin'!!
At Creative Inspirations there is a gorgeous sketch by the wonderful Nat, lots of layers on this one ladies, you'll want to stop by and take a look at what the CI girls have made this time around, it is nothing short of amazing!!

I've used this sweet little stamp from Belles N Whistles, isn't it cute!! Say, wouldn't it be neat if there was a challenge blog dedicated to all those heartwarming critters out there..... Yes, I am dropping hints ;) She's coloured in distress inks, the papers are K & Company, the doily MS punch (thank goodness!!!) and some stash goodies.
I am going to pop this in over at Colour Create, they have a fabulous colour challenge of duck egg blue, ivory (it was ivory before I distressed the bejeezus out of everything....) plus an additional colour from their photo inspiration and I chose brown, and make it shabby chic!!

Okay then, gotta run!!!
hugs, stephanne

Thanks a bunch!!

Hello Blogland,
How was everybodies weekends?
I hope they were filled with the things you love the most,
mine certainly was!!
I got some crafting done, it cooled off here in Kansas
and has been raining off and on, thank goodness,
it's too late for most of the plant life in my yard,
already scorched and burnt from the relentless heat
but it was nice to have temps in the low 90's,
I walked my son to our neighborhood park (or he walked me)
and we went along the little nature trail,
gotta love the great outdoors!!

Well now, enough of that mumbo jumbo,
and onto my project.

I used a fabulous Penny Black Slapstick image called You are the bestest, find it HERE at 7 Kids. I was skeptical about the stamping quality of these but let me tell ya, they are divine!!! I especially love that the foam these stamps are backed with is sort of cushiony, so you can really stamp it down and get into the deep crevices of watercolour paper without losing any of the images integrity in the process. 2 thumbs up on the PB Slapsticks.

I guess it goes without saying that I used my distress inks to paint this stamp, then cut out the image and adhered it to, blah blah blah, same thing as usual, slitting a small pocket at the skyline to slip the pot behind the flower, I've also added white Sakura gel pen to the flowers and then retraced those lines with spica pen then added a touch of stickles to the centers. The papers are October Afternoon and the punch is MS, those lovely flowers are Prima, they were the inspiration behind the colours here. The sentiment, ugh!! Well, it says what I want it to say but not how I want it to look. I, being of limited brain capacity, can't figure out how to print from my works program (yet....) so I went back to basics and wrote it out myself.

As you can see, I've gotten snap-happy with the pictures, my hubby bought me a camera for my birthday a few years ago and I've not ever used it til recently, I get really weird about having to learn new electronics processes, and by weird I mean to say frustrated, so it's just sat around til now, I'm getting there....

And a close-up because I now have the capabilities of doing that in clear quality....
I have a couple of challenges to pop this in at.
Firstly, 7 Kids College Fund has just launched a bi-weekly challenge blog, to get things started the challenge is Pink and Polka-dots and there is a deliciously tempting prize up for grabs as well, HERE is the link to the challenge blog so you can check it out!! Charisma Cardz is hosting an easel card challenge. At Cat's Corner they are asking to see the colours Pink and Red used on our creations, I am not sure if my pink and red flowers are enough to qualify me, but thought I would give it a shot, and of course, I have used that amazingly versatile sketch from Friday Sketchers

I've been thinking, wouldn't it be neat if there were, I don't know, say, a challenge blog that was dedicated to all things fuzzy wuzzy, you know, strictly critters, just all about fuzz, fur and possibly even shells and scales?!?!?! Hmmmmm, and what if they had awesome prizes every month???? And what if that blog was to say, have a super duper launch candy to get things started???? Does that seem like the sort of thing folks would be interested in........ Hmmmmmmmmm.........

Thanks for stopping by,
hugs,
stephanne

Foxy fella lights up my blog and some great news

Hi all,
despite the 110 degree weather outside,
I have slithered my way to the craft room
to do something in between resting periods,
this heat is oppressive, all I can do
is mope around and pout,
anything more gives me shortness of breath.
Oh boo hoo hoo, right?
On with the project,
I've used the little foxy fella
from the TGF Outdoorsy set
that the fabulous Kellie Winnell sent me to play with,
you can find this set and many others at Tickled Pink Stamps,
and HERE is where you'll find THIS set in particular.

I've coloured in distress inks on watercolour paper, then cut him out and adhered him into a shaded identical image, colouring the scenery of the backing image, then cutting a pocket into the image between the skyline and the grass to tuck my fox into, here's a close-up for ya (click to enlarge, as per the usual)

I've used MME paper, bazzill CS, the punches are both Martha Stewart and the flowers are from my stash, the center flower is Prima and I've used a BG button in the center of it. The sentiment comes in the Outdoorsy set, I stamped it then shaped around it, punched some holes and ran this dreamy organza ribbon through it.

I am going to enter this into the challenge at The Beary Scrap which was to use their sketch and to keep it Clean and Simple, which I feel I have done here.
I have played along with The Play Date Cafe which is colours of Dark Brown, Green and Beige, mines is sort of beigey, hope this counts...
At EveryBody Art they are hosting a Check It Out challenge (paper)
At Crafty Catz Challenges Sue wants to see animals!!!
At The ABC Challenges they are back to A and that means August, and this little boy scout out at camp really sums up my idea of summer fun. Darn it, I wish I was a boy, lol.

I also have some wonderful news to share and it involves the little critter creations similar to the one you see right now!!! I am elated to tell you that I was accepted onto The Stamping Bazaar's first ever design team!!!! Hip hip hurray!! There's nothing better than working with what you love, so really, I am just thrilled!!! Since becoming obsessed with stamping last year, this has been my dream, to work with the talented Marina's images and now I am getting the chance to do so, for which I could not be more grateful :)

Well, I will let you all get back to your weekend,
thanks for stopping by,
I'd offer hugs, but it is plainly too hot for that!!

Foxy Pop-Up Project for Creative Inspirations made with Tickled Pink Stamps treasures!!

Hello to all of you,
it's time once for a new challenge at
Creative Inspirations Wednesdays
and this one is a bit of a project indeed,
we'd like you to create a POP-UP PROJECT,
stop by the above link for fabulous ideas and
Nat has provided tutorial links for you to check out.
You won't want to miss the prize this week,
a fabulous assortment of goodies from our very own Janny, yay!!

Recently Kellie, owner of Tickled Pink Stamps and waffler extraordinaire, added a great selection of images from The Greeting Farm to her shop and she, being the sweetheart that she is, asked me if I'd like to fashion a few projects, of course I screamed yes yes yes, jumped up and down like a kid in a candy shop, and uhh, I mean, I cordially accepted, lol. This is an image from the Outdoorsy set, find it here and check out the other cutepie stamps she has from TGF too!! And yes, TPS ships stamps anywhere and everywhere!!

I stamped the images on watercolour paper and painted in distress inks, added a bit of Stardust stickles here and there, the background is Magnolia, the little hill in the front of the background panel is just a segment of that same stamp and popped out with a folded bit of paper, so there are 3 layers of pop outs in total. The paper is by Scenic Route, the MS doily punch beneath the framed edges, the butterfly punch is by Marvy. The sunrays were created by attaching beading wire to the back of the image and then sandwiching it in with another piece of paper and adhesive.

And here is the front of the card, sentiment by Stampin' Up, pearls are Prima, BG button and stash ribbon and twine. I was having doohickey envy so I tried to make something of a similar fashion myself and thus, the tag you see here,so yes, the tag is definitely Magnolia doohickey inspired.

I'm going to enter this in the Crafty Catz challenge (hi Sue!!) as it is buttons and bows, check.
And ummmm, yeah...

So thanks for stopping by and I hope you will give the pop-up challenge a try!!
Hugs, stephanne

Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly sketch challenge and their MASSIVE prize

Hello my friends,
I guess you could say that I am
in the midst of a Lil Lolita's bonanza,
as here we are, yet another post
containing these loverly ladies!!!
It's the 8th of the month,
that means it's time for a new sketch at
Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly Challenge!!!

This sketch is fairly simple, if you can get around the fact that it is comprised mainly of a circle!!! I am missing a sentiment, as you can see, because I wanted to leave that to the person giving the card/tag to decide it's purpose and I guess I flipped it too. You might have spotted the lovely Evie out and about earlier this week, but I wrangled her back in and glued her down onto this project, sorry Evie :( She's coloured with distress inks, my DP is K & Co. and I used a Fiskars round lace punch for the border. I attempted to sew around the circle... This was my first go at something more complex than a line (which I can't sew straight, if that's any indicator of my plight with this circular shape) and that is where the flowers come in, lol, they cover my mishaps rather nicely. On the back I've placed a distressed and sewn white circle for writing on, and I know the photo doesn't show it, but there is a ribbon loop on the top of the card so it can be hung or displayed or tacked to the wall, whichever works best.

And a look at that sketch:
Remember, you can use any stamp that Tickled Pink Stamps sells to be in to win the fabulous prizes each month, and nope, you didn't necesarily have to buy it from TPS, click HERE to head to the shop to see what your options are :) And Kellie is offering a shopping voucher of $50.00 so uhhh, you may want to check it out!!! Also, we have opened up the challenges to any and all brands of images, however, in order to qualify for the prize, your stamp has to be one that TPS stocks.

Well, it's back to school time here in Kansas and I am tuckered out after a long afternoon of shopping. We were running around like chickens with our heads cut off, from store to store to store with coupons coupons and MORE COUPONS!!! We done good, real good, my stepdaughters sure are pleased, that much is for sure. They started complaining about their backs hurting right AFTER we completed shopping for them and had to move on to the grocery portion of the experience, funny how that works!! Speaking of coupons, I got a new MS doily punch, thank goodness, I can sleep sound tonight knowing that my next project will have my favourite punch on it!!

Well, I am waffling,
I'd better let you all move along,
thanks for stopping by,
and I hope we'll see you at the
sketch challenge this month!!
hugs, stephanne

Lil Lolita's Digi Celebration and LLB's Bling It challenge!!

Hello my friends,
and welcome back
(for those who visited from Kellies birthday blog hop
a little earlier today)
It's come to be that time in the evening,
the digi release of the Lil Lolita's images has begun
and you can get yours HERE!!
To celebrate this new adventure,
all of us Pink Ladies made a card for the event,
and Kellie invited us to join in with the
Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge as guests,
and the challenge this week is BLING IT and the prize?!
$25 voucher for Tickled Pink Stamps!!! Hot Diggity Dog!!!
I hope I can enter, lol!!

So here is my blingtastic creation featuring 60's Ivy, I probably shouldn't say this, but I'm not known for my modesty, so here we go, as 60's Mod Ivy, I really wasn't feeling this image, but as Santa's Little Helper Ivy, I LOVE HER!!! She's got her Candy Stripers dress on, a big Santa belt, her lovely rubber boots (because there is a lot of snow in the North Pole...) She's coloured in distress inks, white highlighter in her hair that I retrace with buttermilk spica for that goldie-locks look, DP is Bo Bunny (green) and MME (plaid), there is a mish mash of embellies here, lots of the blingy goodies were sent from my friend Elise, there are swarvoski crystals added here and there and a little bell in the knot of the red ribbon. Punches used are MS and were glimmer misted in Irridescent gold. I've used the sketch from Stamp With Fun and I also want to pop this in at Stamp Somethings Christmas in July/August challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget, the opportunity to try out these gorgeously fun, cute and quirky Lil Lolita's is here, hip hip hooray!!

hugs, stephanne

Kellies Birthday Blog Hop!!

Hello my friends,
It’s our fabulous bossy lady aka Kellie Winnell’s Birthday! We are having the most fun surprise hop for her, and believe me when I say SURPRISE!! We have such a fancy little trick up our sleeves for this amazingly talented kind hearted, generous boss/friend of ours.

The pink ladies, including international have joined forces with Lil Lolita Boutique for this fun birthday hop day!

The Gorgeous Debbie had an idea and approached Christine the designer of our gorgeous Lolitas, and on the sly asked if she would design a KELLITA! Then Debbie let Kristy in on the secret and asked if she would like to help, of course Princess said yes, yes, yes, oh God yes!!!! So together Debbie & Kristy sent pictures and ideas of what Kellita should look like, a pouty pucker, tall glass of water, wide-eyed beauty with the style of the most elegant hippy, and as you can see, the rest is history!! We decided that Kellie could not be trusted to NOT open mail so we sent our creations to Princess to hold hostage til today to surprise Waffles with!! Imagine Kellie thinking, "What the heck, how could anyone forget my birthday???!"

So lets begin the hop (let's begin at the beginning, shall we, click HERE to start at Darling Debbie's blog) so you can see our fabulous Kellita Birthday cards and join us in wishing Kellie a very happy birthday!

*****If you didn’t arrive from Kylie (blonde) K's Blog then go back to the start at Debbies blog and hop along with us!!*****

And here is my creation made especially for Waffles with Waffles, aka Kellita, papers are K & Company, I found a sheet of faux dictionary paper to represent the waffle-isms, she's been painted in distress inks and enhanced with pencils and higlighter pen, I dug out my most shabbylicious laces and goodies to go alongside the Kellita, I hope she likes it!!

*************

Now of course what is a hop without prizes??? 2 lucky commenters will get the chance to win this SPECIAL EDITION KELLITA!?! All you have to do is comment on each card. The winners will be announced on Wednesday the 11th August on the Tickled Pink Blog.

*****Next stop on the hop is Carissa*****

{Please note Kellita is a limited edition digi and is not for sale......unless....... perhaps we can get Kellie to include her for distribution this weekend during the Lil Lolita's digi-event, wink wink wink!! )

If you've not got time for the hop, that is understandable,
BUT BUT BUT, HERE is the link to get over to Kellies blog and wish her a happy birthday, you can come back and do the hop later ;)

Thanks for stopping by,
**computer update: my modem burned out last night,
we hijacked a friendly neighors
old one so I could do this post, lol,
sharing is caring!!

Hugs,
stephanne

Delicious recipe at Creative Inspirations this week!!

Hello my friends,
it is time once again for a new challenge at
Creative Inspirations
and this week we have a recipe for you to create with:
3 Papers, 5 Flowers and 1 Ribbon.
And here's what I came up with:

I've used Shy Sammy from The Stamping Bazaar coloured in distress inks, cut out and placed on a shadowed image of itself, I believe is BoBunny, right Eulanda??? And thank you, I LOVE THEM!! Edges were distressed in Vintage Photo and roughed up with scissors, the punches used are Martha Stewart, flowers from my favourite ebay shoppe and the stamen is Prima. I am hoping that since my ribbon and trim is all within one central locale, I can get away with overdoing the recipe?? Technically speaking, there is trim, organza, and grosgain and on the packaging, only 1 is described as ribbon, that being the grosgain...

I have followed the sketch from
The Sweet Stop Sketches
at Charisma Cardz
they are hosting a something with a tail challenge,
at Cupcake Craft Challenge
the theme is distressing,
PaperPlay Challenges
is having an anything goes challenge,
PaperTake Weekly is hosting a
white and bright challenge and to me,
these white and purply papers are pretty bright!!

Thanks for stopping by,
I appreciate every one of you who visits me
and takes the time to leave comments even when
I am having a hard time leaving comments myself,
thanks again friends!!

Hugs, Stephanne

Lil Lolita's Digi Event this weekend at TPS!!

Hey there my blogger buddies,
just wanted to pop in to let you all know that
Kellie of Tickled Pink Stamps
is having a digi-event this weekend
to promote and share her Lil' Lolita's images
with all of us out there.
Maybe you've wanted to check them out but
don't want to wait for the postman to show up,
or just plain detest paying for postage (like me),
perhaps you are sort of ho hum about the images,
like you want to, but your just not sure....
Well, now's your chance to do a little sampling
of the images in digi format,
LOVE that instant gratification!!

Who's that girl?
Why, it's 20's Evie from TPS latest Lil Lolita's release
out for a leasurely stroll around Blogland,
get back on my craft desk, woman!!

For those digi-pro's, you might have been WAITING for this,
for digi-newbies like myself,
I'd be more than happy to share the little bits of knowledge I know about colouring digi prints or send links to tutorials I've seen if you are interested in the opportunity to invite these little ladies into your stamp collection for less than the cost of rubber stamps :) Hop on over to the store blog for all the details!!!

Happy Digi Stamping,
stephanne

P.S. Got my new computer today, the "Geek Squad" will be out this weekend to set everything up for this sh*t-for-brains, wish me luck!!

Hello folks,
it is time once again
for a new sketch over at
CLP Challenges
and as usual,
Chelsea has made something divine
for us to create with!!
We got ridiculously spoiled this month
by our generous sponsor,
none other than Chelsea herself,
she sent us DT gals some of her fabulous
Gurlee Girl images to work with,
this is Blossom Fairy Avie
and you can find her HERE,
thank you Chelsea, it was my pleasure ;)

I had a lot of fun putting this card together, I stamped Avie on several layers of purple vellum and Gina K 80 lb. cardstock, then pieced her together raising some areas with foam dots while gluing her into place in others (enlarge pic for detail), the papers are a mix of Prima (floral) and MME, I've used a medley of flowers, most distinctly, the center athena flower is Prima, tulle and pins, lace and ribbon from stash and fairy eggplant half back pearls are also Prima. The punch I've used around the image is by EK Success and everything was distressed in Brushed Corduroy.

On another note here, completely off topic, I have HORRIBLE news to share. My MS Doily punch fell apart at the henges last week and I have been a wreck ever since!! Do I run up the street and pay out the wazoo for a new one (that is against my religion by the way, they don't call me "coupon" for nothin'!!), do I stalk the newspaper ads and wait for a 50% off coupon for Michaels then drive 30 minutes to Michaels thereby cancelling out any actual savings once you factor in cost of gas and loss of time... You know, it did constantly pinch the fat of my palm when I pressed down on it, but it worked so I didn't mind, lol. Between the punch and the computer, I am in shambles!!

I will stop my whining (for now) and let you get back to your weekend!! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will get a chance to check out the sketch and join us over at CLP Challenges this month.
Hugs, stephanne
