Sending Warm Thoughts Whimsy project and DT Call details!!

Hello dear blogging buddies,
how was your Christmas weekend?
Lots of good times and good eats I hope!!
Things around here were pretty mellow,
with no family and a minimal list of friends here in Kansas,
there's not a big To-Do on the holidays,
just have a nice time with the kids and make yummy meals,
we also went and checked out Christmas lights too,
my little 4 year old had a blast looking at those glowing figures.

Well, now, I am not sure if you've seen it,
but Whimsy Stamps is looking for a few new members
to join their Digital Team.
With Melissa Jenkins popping out new images every week,
the amazing Katie Sowa and Crissy Armstrong creating some of the cutest critters and kids you've ever seen and Ann Vento's gorgeous sentiments and die-cuts, being on the Whimsy Digital team is a true delight. So much to play with I tell ya!! And the team is just wonderful, great to work WITH, friendly, helpful, supportive group of gals there at Whimsy stamps!! So if you'd like to play with their fine selection of digi's and join our lovely team, please click HERE for more details!!

I have a little Whimsy project to share today!!
I've combined two recently released MelJen images together to create my project with, Cheery Lights Mailbox and Penguins Little Letter, I've coloured in distress inks, the papers are Magnolia and October Afternoon. That about does it on the card there, this is my version of clean and simple!!

Here's where I will enter this:

May your Christmas be blessed

Hello ladies all over the world,
I think that, no matter your time zone,
it's appropriate to say MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

For my project, I have used the gorgeously angelic "Christmas Angel Evie" created by the talented Chelsea Le, you can find them in her Gurlee Girl shoppe HERE. She was such a delight to colour, I have already come up with several other excuses to stamp her again!! Think Christenings and the like, Sympathy type cards, yes, she is certainly a new all-time fave for me!! She's been coloured in distress inks and stickled in StarDust, the papers are by K & Co. and the other items are from my stash, punches are by Martha.

I thank you popping by and wish you a very merry holiday season!!
Enjoy it!!!

I've used the super cute Santa's Puppy Helper drawn by Melissa Jenkins for Whimsy Stamps, coloured in distress inks and distressed in Vintage Photo, papers are Magnolia and K & Company, the laces and ribbons and things are from my stash.

For the back side of my tag, I have used the Holiday Cheer sentiment and snowflake stamps from the TIckled Pink Stamps Holiday sentiment set designed by the fabulous Ann Vento.

I've used the gorgeous Clara by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, find it HERE at Tickled Pink Stamps, she's coloured with distress inks on watercolour paper, then cut out and glued onto another stamped image that's distressed in Vintage Photo. The papers are Websters Pages and October Afternoon (checks), the punch is by Martha Stewart and the laces and flowers are from my stash. The snowflake was made with nesties dies :)

This sketch is a yummy one, with lots of opportunites to layer, love it!!

The Fuzzy Wuzzy Christmas Challenge!!!

Hello out there Blogland!!!
It's the first Friday of the month,
or technically will be in a very short amount of time,
and that means it's time for our latest challenge at
The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges!!

Before we get to the new challenge, we have some very special news to share!!! We Fuzzy Wuzzians decided it was time to expand our team and have the distinct pleasure of introducing the amazingly talented, superbly gorgeous design team members Emma, Ingrid, Julia, Kelly and Louise. Welcome to the team ladies!! We are so very proud and honoured to have them creating with us, thank you ladies for helping make our team that much more special :) With each of them having a unique talent and style all of their own, they are sure to bring us loads of inspiration month after month!! And the fabulous Kylie recently gave our blog a face-lift and it looks amazing!!! We're hoping the new look will clear up some of the confusion about what images can be used for our challenges: ANY!!! Thank you Kylie :)

This months challenge is an easy one for ya,
Christmas Something or An-Otter!!!
So some kind of a Christmas project
made with some sort of an animal image
and you can come and enter it in our challenge
for a chance to win some delightful prizes from
Whimsy Stamps, our generous sponsor,
who was kind enough to let our
DT play with their images too!!
Thanks Whimsy Stamps!!

Now I do love me a recycling project, and after I spotted a project created by the amazing Iris of Paper Crafting in Cocoa some time back, I knew I had to give these Prima tins a new purpose. They are too handy to throw them away, so why not make them gorgeous!! I also had some sort of a mental breakthrough with doilies after seeing Iris's post too, the distressing and glittering, she made it look so gorgeous that I had to try it out too. Such a copy cat I am. Thanks for the inspiration Iris.

Here's the side view where I adhered Echo Park paper, a strip of white paper that was punched with a MS punch. That delectable lace was adhered with my favourite stuff, Aleene's Tacky Glue.

And the snowflakes are a combination of a MS snowflake punch and a nesties die cut. I used pearl vellum paper for that shimmery effect on the bottom layer.

And here is the top of the gift tin. I coloured the adorably sweet Teddy Angel with Prisma pencils and added bits of star dust stickles to the wings. I went around the glow area of the gown with a clear copic spica pen.
"glow area" = the shadow ring that melissa adds to her images, lol.

The flowers I used are a mix of rivaling companies I probably shouldn't mention in the same sentence, lol!!! I've added touches of Star Dust stickles here and there and that swirl die is from Sizzix.

Here are some challenges I'd like to join in at:
Cute Card Thursday The Blues,
Saturday Challenge 3 snowflakes, 2 circles (image and back paper, 2 circles, lol) and lace

Hey, wake up!!

Whimsy Stamps December Digital Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Whimsy Stamps
first O' the month digi-blog hop!!!
If you've arrived from the
positively talented Heike's blog
you are well on your way through the hop,
if you've just popped by for a visit,
you may want to head on over to the
Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog
to start at the beginning.

I've used a sentiment from Ann's new Christmas Sentiments set,
along with a micey nice new release from Katie Sowa called Mousy Cheer. Can you tell I got a new toy!??!?!?! I am so excited to open up my home to a Cuttlebug, woopie!!! I get nervous with larger purchases, a lot of "what if's" and "buts" go into making decisions like this, but after a good year of thinking about it, I did it!! I got a Cuttlebug!! And felt the need to use every folder and die I now proudly own on this one card, lol!! I used the sketch from Create4fun while crafting this.

There is a lot of fun stuff happening at Whimsy Stamps lately, there are loads of new sentiments from Ann Vento, Crissy Armstrong has released several new adorable images, as well as several PRE-COLOURED images (point, click, done!! good for this time of year!!!), Melissa Jenkins shares lots of digis throughout the month with us, but today, she is releasing PRE-COLOURED images as well, very nice!!! Katie has designed some really cute designs that are releasing today as well, so do pop by Whimsy Stamps and check it out!! Plus, if the chisme is correct, Whimsy stamps will be revealing some new rubber stamps designs in the very near future, hot dog!!

Now it is time for you to hop along
and see what the talented Pattie
has in store for you!!

hugs, stephanne
