I hope your week is off to a great start!!
Where I live in the States,
tommorow is the kids' last day of school...
The teachers seem to be a little overly-excited,
the parents on the other hand, well,
I can't believe it's that time of year again...
Anyhoo, it is Wednesday and it is time for
a new challenge over at
Creative Inspirations
and it is distressing!!
You can muss up your edges, tear up some cardstock,
ink up your sentiments, all of that if you wish,
but to enter this week, and you might want to,
there's a yummy prize up for grabs,
you need to have some distressing on your card.
This card features the darling Evie from Tickled Pink Stamps Lil Lolita's collection, she's coloured in distress inks with some Prisma pencil touches here and there, papers are from K & Company, punches are Martha Stewart, sentiment is computer generated and the flowers, lace, ribbon and other accesories are from my stash.
I've gone around my papers with Brushed Curdoroy distress ink and then roughed them up with scissors, and look who's back?? My sewing machine!!! Hip hip hooray!!Maybe I will make her a fancy cover after all, lol!! A lot of the punched leaves and branches were Stickled as was the lace on Evies outfit. Her buttons were done with Perfect Pearls, yes, I love Ranger products...
I printed my sentiment on Gina K cardstock and then fashioned it into a tag, distressed it and ran lace, ribbon and a bit of strung pearls through it to keep things nice and vintage-esque. Speaking of which, The ABC Challenge is up to V and gee, wonder what it will be.... I bring it up because Kellie of Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring them this fortnight, so you could have a chance at winning something that will tickle you pink if you play along!! Too cheesy of a pun?? Wanna know another way you could win stuff from Kellie???? She has decided to open up our weekly TPS design team challenges to everyone!!! Check it out here!!! The next challenge will be to use ribbon on your project, I made sure to plop a big ol' ribbon bow on my tag and run ribbon across my lace so that I could take part in the theme set forth for we Ladies of Pink this week, I'm always trying to multi-task so I can spend 6 hours on one project instead of having to hurry through 3 seperate things.
Waffle-loaded post, isn't it!!?!?

Until next time,
