Ho Ho Ho, Have a Merry Whimsy Christmas!!

Hello lovely ladies,
I hope your week is ending on a beautiful note!!
Any "Black Friday" shopping plans???
I will just be going to bed when those determined souls
start getting up and ready to go hunt for the deal of a lifetime
at 4 am in the morning.... Bah humbug, lol!!

Every Thursday at Whimsy Stamps, the wonderfully talented Melissa Jenkins releases new digi stamps, and today, I share with you something that I made with the adorable Caroling Snowmen. They were coloured in distress inks, highlighted a bit with a White Gellyroll pen, then I stickled their "glow" with Crystal in the areas that seemed they might need a smidgeon of shadowing, then I cut them out, covered the exposed edges of the image with Prismacolor marker (warm grey 40%) and popped them onto another print of the same image, with the shadowing done in Prismacolor marker (cloud blue).

Let's Get Sentimental TPS preview and sale info

Hello and welcome to day 2 of
Tickled Pink Stamps
sentiments previews!!
If you have just popped over
to visit me this morning, thank you!!!
I'd like to nudge you in the direction of the TPS Blog because the Pink Ladies have crafted up some magic with the new line, thoughtfully designed for us by the amazing Ann Vento of RainDrop Echo Designs, and of course, there are some giveaways to take place, so don't forget to leave those comments along the way.

Have you got the fever to try a tag yet? Let me point you in the direction of a tutorial prepared by our very own Jane at TPS, check it out HERE, some great how to's where printing and die cuts are concerned.

For me, I just cut and stamp, no die cuts for this sad sack, lol. I wanted to do something a little different from my norm, I wanted a rustic, aged looking tag. Just an understated wash of colour on Lylah and some vintage photo distressing, gold stickles and of course, the To From sentiment and that was that. You know, I like it!! Primitive Folk Art-ish looking.

I need to tell you ladies something. Kellie of Tickled Pink Stamps is having a sale starting on the 1st of December, Australian time, where she will be putting every stamp in her inventory on sale from 30-50 percent off. Now I don't know about you, but I think Santa needs to know about this!!! The sale will run for 5 days, so there will be a little bit of time between now and the end of that sale to make your list, check it twice, switch some things around, add them back in, etc etc.

Now I see that blogger has been a naughty boy lately, suppose he wants to make a holiday weekend for himself with friends and family from the USA? He needs a little R&R so he has been a no-show, and gone and messed up all of our posts, lol!! That said, I hope this goes live at the scheduled time :/

Thanks for popping by, and pals in thee ol' U S of A, have a blessed holiday!!

I have a little bit of a heads up to share with you lovely ladies today,
if you head on over to the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Blog, there you will find a daily giveaway being hosted!!! So I know it is already Wednesday, but still, on the other hand, it's only Wednesday!! Still 3 days of giveaways to go, so pop on over there and see which gorgeous stamp is up for grabs today!!

Well, now that the birthday festivities for my little man have finally ended and everyone is nestled in bed, I BLOG!!! I had the pleasure of crafting up another Christmas card with the fabulously pretty Little Christmas Angel digi-stamp by Crissy Armstrong, find it in store at Whimsy Stamps HERE.

My first romp with this image was an attempt at white on white. Yeah, I uhhh, so, I thought I would just do what I do this time around and here we are then, lol!!! She's been oloured in distress inks, more details to come, I need sleep, I am seeing double!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by this morning!!!

And the winner is........

Hello lovelies, just popping by to reveal the winner of my Christmas Candy, according to Random Number Integer Generator, this would be lucky number 39, Lena Katrine who said this about her favourite Christmas smell, "Hmmm...my favourite christmas smell, I think it must be cinnamon, ginger and oranges together :)"

OMG, YES, that smell together is AMAZING, that taste together is out of this world, a great flavour for teas and chocolates too!!! I love smells, good ones anyway!! How a smell can take us back in time to a memory is amazing to me.

Well, enough about smells!! Thanks to all who took part in my little Christmas Cheer cancan!!!
Wishing you all the best of the holiday season!!!

Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall Challenge revisited!!

Hello my friends,
we Fuzzy Wuzzians have been thinking of ways to keep things interesting through the month over at The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges and Kylie came up with a wonderful thought: A mid-month sample from us!! That is a grand idea!! And to make it even more fun, we have added another prize to the mix, you're gonna want to check this out!! If you're a fan of Penny Black, you should hop on over HERE to check it out.

Let me just say that I ADORE Penny Black images. My weakness lies in their 1996, 1997 era stamps. The woodland creatures and teddies of those times had so much detail and beautiful elements, I just love 'em!! I coloured in distress inks, then added some Snow Writer to the tree with a little paint brush, this helps stop it from globbing up on your project, then topped it with a wee bit of glitter. The paper is from Basic Grey (red) and Websters Pages (script dots). The punch is by Martha Stewart and the sentiment is from raindrop echo designs, sold at Whimsy Stamps, find this digital sentiments set HERE.

And here, I shall take advantage of this rare opportunity to play at some of my favourite challenge blogs!!!
A Spoon Full of Sugar Distressing
Creative Inspirations Winter Woodlands
PaperPlay ChallengesLet it Snow
Penny Black SaturdaysFavourite things (flowers, distressing, lace and grosgain combo, glitter, PB critters, circa '96)

Truly Scrumptious Sketch

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight!!
Ellias says thank you to all who were kind enough to stop by his post and leave a comment, by the way!!
And don't forget to stop by the fuzzy wuzzy challenge HERE and feast your eyes on the latest prize for this challenge, not to mention, the beautiful work from fellow Fuzzians Kylie and Sue!!

Huge, keep-me-warm hugs,
stephanne

Whimsy Custom Design sale and my sons creation

Hello ladies,
thought I would pop in to let you know that this week at Whimsy Stamps there is a 20% off sale of custom rubber and digital designs, woopie!!! Been thinking about a seal with your name and blog address on it? Want your own signature for your blog posts???? Now's the time!!

And here is a little something my son put together this Monday, he had a lot of fun with it!! He also demanded (yes, DEMANDED) I print him out Crissy's Christmas pup to colour and made a project with that doggy too, I just don't know where he hid it. He hides things... so mom doesn't take his masterpieces from him and send them to the grandparents!!

My son will be turning 4 this 23rd, I am rather excited!! All he has been asking for is a chocolate cake!! Boy, did I get off easy this year or what, lol!!!

Well, better get back to playing catch-up!!

I have used Acorn Mouse and if you stop by now,
you can nab this cutie for half price,
awesome right???!?
If you are anything like me,
that simply means you will buy twice as much,
I guess I am gluttonous in that way.

You can find this digital sentiment in store at Whimsy Stamps in the Autumn Sentiment set, Ann makes the loveliest sentiments that compliment every whimsical project, and this, this is coming from a sentimentally challenged soul!! Ann, the gateway to sentiments, lol. I've coloured in distress inks and the papers are October Afternoon, I wanted a downhome country look to this, so buttons and cotton lace, here we go!!

Have a great weekend friends!!
I am planning on cleaning....
Just saying that because admitting that I want to craft seems to cause a retroactive jinx and so, if I say cleaning is on the agenda, then maybe, just maybe... no... if I type it, I will certainly jinx myself. No crafting whatsoever!!!

Meet Willow, just in time for trimming the tree at TPS!!

Oh my gosh oh my gosh!!!
I am late, I am late,
for a very important date!!!

IMPORTANT NOTE TO SELF:
When scheduling blog posts,
be certain to use the correct date and time!!

For all of you Tickled Pink Stamps fans who have been by attempting to leave comments (comment to win-styles prizes at TPS!!) I am sorry and I will make sure that the Boss Lady knows about my typographical error, so; free pass on leaving me comments today, Tickled Pinkers :)

Now, I'd like to thank you for coming and visiting my rather belated project today. If you have just wandered over to visit me, I'd like to recommend that you hop on over to the Tickled Pink Stamps Store Blog and check out the gorgeous samples from the Pink Ladies and our special guests, they are fabulous!! And be sure to leave those comments, because we have hidden prize raffles based off of comments left on our posts on a regular basis!!

I've coloured Willow in distress inks, and glittered and spica'd her in the ruffly areas, the papers are Basic Grey and the flowers and trims are random items from my stash.

Who says pink and pretty doesn't work for Christmas!!?!?! I am looking to put a "trimming the tree" type of sentiment on the inside of the card to sort of tie everything together. I didn't mean to make Willow's beautiful dress appear like a Jamaican cheerleading uniform, that antique linen went a little brighter than expected, but hey, it turned into a happy accident, because the colours work well with the papers, so, woopie!!

Well, I will see you Pinkies back here tomorrow morning (checking posting times FOR SURE, lol!!) as we have lots of reveals and an end-of-week blog hop coming, so stay tuned!!!

Huge Hugs,
stephanne

Whimsy Stamps Digi Sale and other happenings...

Hi there everybloggy,
I am pretty excited to share with you a little inside scoop from
Whimsy Stamps!!
This week, ALL DIGITAL STAMPS ARE 50 % OFF!!!!
Hot dog!! 50% off, half price, 2 for 1, no matter the approach,
the end result is the same!!
Whimsy digi's are on sale!!

Phew, now that I got that out of my system,
I have a little Whimsy project to share today.
As my faithful blogging buddies know,
I need to get my Christmas crafting done before December,
so these fabulous digi's by the amazing Crissy Armstrong have been calling me name since they were released!! What I did was open the files up in Live Quartz, which is a free photo editing software system that is Mac compatible, and took the png files and gave Classic Santa a Little Helper, aptly named Santa's Puppy.

Colouring is done in distress inks. The papers are a mix of K & Co (dots), Echo Park (snowflakes) and an embossed panel. I've used a sentiment by Ann Vento. This is from the Warm Winter Wishes digital sentiment set, it comes with 4 beautiful phrases, and right now, you can get 'em for a buck, holy wow!!!

In other Whimsy news, there will be a most fabulous new release party to celebrate some new rubber stamps, new designer papers and other goodies exclusively designed for Whimsy Stamps, with a blog hop beginning this Wednesday, which is sure to be a blast, as Denise has lined up some special guest designers in addition to their already dynamic rubber stamp design team, so be sure to pop in and check it out, lots of ooooohs and awwwwws to be had, I am certain ;)

Welp, I better scram, a busy day ahead for me tomorrow!!
Big fat cyber hugs to all!!

Belles 'n Whistles Treat Bag!!!

Hello my friends,
thank you for stopping by my blog today.
I have for you a project that has been culminating in my head since I received my glorious kit from Belles n' Whistles for my time there as a guest designer, and though I think my time-frame is technically over, I want to show and tell!! This project was intended to be a sample for the current BNW bi-Weekly challenge, which is a Trick Me or Treat Me challenge, you can either incorporate a trick element on your card, like a flap or a hidden tag, or treat us with something scrummdiddillyumptious or Halloweenie. I went the scrummy route with this project, and naturally, the bag will contain some sweet treats along with tea and cocoa packets :)

I have used several different images and masked them together into one scene, though, for dimension, Tea Time Belle and the tea set from the Changeabelle's Cupcake Roses and Tea stamp pack have been stamped, coloured and cut out, then placed over the masked image for dimension. I created the picnic background by masking over the Belle in the Picnic Solace Changeabelle's stamp and adding in Tea Time Belle, lot's of fun I tell you!!

I am tickled with myself, as my little gift bag is something that I put together on my own. I suppose I have made enough from other tutorials that I can now think them up independently, so I doodled up the "schematics" on the back of a business card at work, then came home and got to work on putting together a little treat bag!! Belle is coloured in distress inks, the papers are by October Afternoon (plaid), Sassafras Lass (blue flowers) and K & Co. (news print). The punches used are MS (doily and oak leaf) and EK Success (border at top of bag). I distressed everything in Brushed Corduroy and then went over the edges with my scissors. The little tag was hand-cut, stamped with a Stampin' Up sentiment, then attached with hemp rope.

For the back, I have used a Magnolia recipe card stamp to allow for an inscription, I cut a doily in half and attached it above my lace and ribbon.

Well, thanks for popping by today!! Before I go, I'd like to mention that Belles n' Whistles just released a new collection, it is called The Snowbabies Collection and it is just as sweet as can be, full of cute Belles in wintery settings, these stamps surely do "tickle the heartstrings." What's more is, Summer is donating 10% of sales from this collection to Breast Cancer Research organizations in honour of our beloved paper-crafting sisters Elise and Jacque :)

Until next time, Stephanne

Inking Pink Candy Winner and a heartfelt thank you

Hello everyone, I'd like to thank each and every one of you who came to visit me along their way through the Inking Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop. Many of you left encouraging and supportive words, many of you felt welcomed enough to share your stories with me as well, and for that I thank you!! I read each and every comment, and as you all read, I feel your pain. Thank you everyone, I am glad to be part of such a warm and caring community.

Now onto my fundraiser candy!! Firstly, let me say that this was my first attempt at putting together an online charity drive, and as it were, it came together at the last minute. Next year, I intend to host another charity event, but I will put it together a wee bit more professionally, get the companies charity button instead of my own and just, try, try again. I'd like to thank everyone who found it in their hearts to donate to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and
I am pleased to report that together, we've raised a grand total of $89!!! Wahoo!!!! And since I like things nice and even when it comes to $$$$, I went ahead and rounded our donation up to $100.00 big ones, yahooo!!!!!

Thank you all, really, I can't say it enough!! It is very touching to me that you all have shown me such support. I have only talked about my mothers cancer to one other person and that is Elise, so sharing the story on the WWW, well, that was difficult, but you all made it far less painful with your supportive and caring comments, thanks once again.

And now for the winner of my candy-by-pledge, that would be lucky #5, Renkata!!
Woohoo!!! Please send me an email that says PRIZE in the subject line so I can pop that into the post for you this week!!

Hahahaha, nice picture, right?

I'll be back tomorrow with a Belles n' Whistles project and that blog candy I mentioned a couple weeks ago.
Until then, sending cyber hugs,
stephanne
