And here is my card with the superbly precious Holly image by Sylvia Zet. Boy oh boy, do I feel like a lucky girl getting to play with such fine designs month after month!!

She is, of course, painted with my beloved distress ink pads, glitteration done with Star Dust Stickles, shimmering courtesy of Pearl Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Snow was made using a DecoArt Snow Writer and adding Stardust Stickles on top. Lovely sentiment from the newly released Holiday Notables 2 set by the talented Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs.

Yummy flowers, right??!?! Oh yes, I have just gotten a delivery from Wild Orchid Crafts the other day and could hardly wait to play with them!! I was ever-so-lucky to win a WOC gift certificate, so many thanks to WOC and Kylie, the hostess of the prize!! Perfect timing, as I was needing some more floral gorgeousness!!

And those little snowflake cut-outs that I've added onto the snowy scene, well, they are the little cut outs from the Ornaments Border Die. An excellent second use for this die, as I have purchased many snowflake punches and dies, MANY, and all seem a little too big and bulky for the images. Not these!!! These are PERFECT!!!

Remember that the entire new release is available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop back to the Whimsy blog tomorrow for more new release creations!

Hazel Halloween project with State Line Bag Co. goodies

Hi there, my blogging buddies,
today I have a fun little project I've been working on
with our gorgeous Hazel image,
designed by Sylvia Zet!!
Yes, you all can tell we just can't get enough of this darlin' image!!
In addition, some of the designers at
Whimsy Stamps
have had the distinct pleasure of sampling
some of these terrifically versatile muslin bags from

I've used the 4 x 6 double drawstring bag
and distress ink painted directly onto the bag.

Fun little goodie bags, perfect for the upcoming seasons!!
I've added a bead on both sides of the bags drawstrings
and sewn on some black pom poms and my paper "Boo"
has been adhered with tacky glue, stitching and staples.
With a mini safety pin, I've attached some fun star charms and
lovely orange baking twine bows.

Have you seen we're offering a prize
of some of these fabulous bags and a Whimsy Stamp
to a lucky commenter???
Check it out HERE
on our Inspirations Blog
as well as on our facebook page!!

Here's a looksy at the card in its entirety.
I have, of course, painted in distress inks,
used our glorious Spell It Out sentiment set
designed by the splendid Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs.

The papers are by Martha Stewart, distressing was done in Walnut Stain, the spiderweb stamp is by Inkadinkadoo, and the other treasures are from my stash, with the bulk of the flowers coming from Wild Orchid Crafts, the fabric one is by Prima.

Thanks for stopping by,
hope you are looking forward to this seasons holiday crafting!!

Blogger question

Hello there lovelies!!
I hope your weekend is going by swimmingly.
I have a question, I don't know if anyone has any advice,
but I have noticed in the blogger news feed, my blog updates WITHOUT a photo.
You know how usually the first picture shows up on the runner,
well, mine doesn't seem to be showing anything but text.
Does anyone know why that is?
Even better, can you tell me how to enable my blog
to share the photo in the posts so that it DOES show up??

Thanks ahead of time for any responses.

I have used the amazingly precious Summer Fairy illustrated by the talented Sylvia Zet!! You likely spotted these stamps released in an issue of Papercraft Essentials and got disappointed when you couldn't get ahold of the magazine, right? Or is that just me? So getting these precious images here at Whimsy Stamps, oh, I am sooooo thrilled!!!

She's painted in distress inks, the papers are K & Company, the flowers and stamen are a mix of many brands, I've also used a gorgeous stick pin that a dear blogging buddy of mine sent me and I have since been hoarding them because if I use them all up, how will I be able to admire them!?!?! I've used some pearls (prima) and swirls (awesome new die from the Leafy Corner Die Set by Raindrop Echo Designs), things have been glimmer misted and stickled in Star Dust, she is a fairy, after all!! She needed lots of pixie dust!!

Okay, I am finished now, thanks to all who have stopped by so far with your kind comments!!

I have stamped the incredibly cute Kaydance, designed for we Whimsy lovers by Elisabeth Bell with Archival Ink and painted her with my distress ink pads. I've used the super fun Spell It Out sentiment set by Raindrop Echo Designs to add a most appropriate "Howdy" to the card. I also had the distinct pleasure of playing with our newly released Double Scalloped Square Doily Die, which I am loving!! The perfect size for my preferred card size and we have several different design options with it, so what I did was ran one layer of kraft paper through my Cuttlebug, then put my image through as well, trimmed off the excess and then threaded through the decorative holes, love it!!

The papers are all My Minds Eye, flowers, laces and other trims are all from the ever-growing stash!!
Distressing was done with Walnut Stain and the insides of a pair of scissors.

When I started painting, I was just plucking up colours wondering how in the world it was all going to come together, so as the assembly process began, I was tickled to see how "planned" this looks!! You wont hear me brag about my cards all too often, but I think this one turned out lovely!!

I have lots of Tilda's just waiting patiently to be coloured,
this is one of them!!

I have, of course, coloured in distress inks and added Stardust Stickles to the super sweet Summer Flower Tilda. The papers are a mix of October Afternoon, MME and Kaiser. There are lots of little bits and bobs on this card, most from blogging friends through the years, so I'm not sure where to refer you to, the almighty stash?? The Whimsy Stamps Vine Die was used along with a Magnolia sentiment.
