Belles 'n Whistles Treat Bag!!!

Hello my friends,
thank you for stopping by my blog today.
I have for you a project that has been culminating in my head since I received my glorious kit from Belles n' Whistles for my time there as a guest designer, and though I think my time-frame is technically over, I want to show and tell!! This project was intended to be a sample for the current BNW bi-Weekly challenge, which is a Trick Me or Treat Me challenge, you can either incorporate a trick element on your card, like a flap or a hidden tag, or treat us with something scrummdiddillyumptious or Halloweenie. I went the scrummy route with this project, and naturally, the bag will contain some sweet treats along with tea and cocoa packets :)

I have used several different images and masked them together into one scene, though, for dimension, Tea Time Belle and the tea set from the Changeabelle's Cupcake Roses and Tea stamp pack have been stamped, coloured and cut out, then placed over the masked image for dimension. I created the picnic background by masking over the Belle in the Picnic Solace Changeabelle's stamp and adding in Tea Time Belle, lot's of fun I tell you!!

I am tickled with myself, as my little gift bag is something that I put together on my own. I suppose I have made enough from other tutorials that I can now think them up independently, so I doodled up the "schematics" on the back of a business card at work, then came home and got to work on putting together a little treat bag!! Belle is coloured in distress inks, the papers are by October Afternoon (plaid), Sassafras Lass (blue flowers) and K & Co. (news print). The punches used are MS (doily and oak leaf) and EK Success (border at top of bag). I distressed everything in Brushed Corduroy and then went over the edges with my scissors. The little tag was hand-cut, stamped with a Stampin' Up sentiment, then attached with hemp rope.

For the back, I have used a Magnolia recipe card stamp to allow for an inscription, I cut a doily in half and attached it above my lace and ribbon.

Well, thanks for popping by today!! Before I go, I'd like to mention that Belles n' Whistles just released a new collection, it is called The Snowbabies Collection and it is just as sweet as can be, full of cute Belles in wintery settings, these stamps surely do "tickle the heartstrings." What's more is, Summer is donating 10% of sales from this collection to Breast Cancer Research organizations in honour of our beloved paper-crafting sisters Elise and Jacque :)

Until next time, Stephanne
