My Sentiments Exactly....

Good morning, good evening, good afternoon,
whatever it might be for you,
I am here to show you my project
for this weeks challenge over at
Creative Inspirations,
which is

SENTIMENTS
Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ugh!!! I loathe sentiments!!!
If you are a regular visitor to my blog
you already know this...
When a sketch calls for a sentiment
I put bows or flowers there instead,
needless to say, this week is a challenge indeed.
To play along, you need to let
a sentiment take center stage.
No stamped characters or images, just text.
Good time to break out the
too-scrummy-to-cover papers!!!

Not much to say about this one, DP is BG, I used MS doily punch, EK Success fern punch and Fiskars scallop shears. The stamp is Penny Black and I stamped in Sepia Archival ink before distressing in Old Paper. Charm, ribbon, pins and flowers are from my stash.

Basic Grey challengesTutti Frutty
Secret Crafter Saturday Pink, green and flowers!!

So there has been some concern about my relationship with my sewing machine and I figure I might as well be honest with you all and tell you what's going on. Since the needle-breaking hissy fit, I left her out on the counter, I look at her every now and then, and I think, geez, should I even bother to try and switch that needle out once again, I mean, I don't need that kind of sass!! She just kept on with her silent treatment and it came down to this: Enough is enough!! So I stuck her white sheath of a cover over her and put her in the corner. I thought I heard her whisper, "No one puts Baby in the corner" but realized it was time to get a grip, no one talks to me but my cat....

Until next time friends!!
And if for some reason I don't post
between now and the weekend,
I hope everyone has a
wonderful and joyous Easter!!

Take Care,
Stephanne

Tilda peeps over to Magnolia Down Under's Stitches Challenge

Hello to all of you,
I hope you have had a wonderful weekend so far,
lots of relaxing and crafting I hope!!
It is time for another challenge at
Magnolia Down Under
and this week we challenge you to use
STITCHING,
real or faux or even paper
on your creations!!
There's a delish prize lined up from
BizzY Becs,
be sure to stop by and see what the
impressively fabulous design team girlies have crafted,
and then get to work on your stitchy Maggie project.

So those who regularly read the smut I push off as blogging know that my sewing machine and I are having a fight. It's nothing too severe, she will get over it if I listen to her needs, show a little sensitivity, maybe buy her some new thread or a fancy cover.... Just in time for the stitching challenge!! I keep breaking the needles, think the tension is off or something, I'll be trying again, but she is still mad so she might continue on with the needle breaking bullspit. I guess what I am trying to say is that I used faux stitching on my project, with protest.

I have coloured this lovely Maggie, kindly stamped for me by The Fabulous Sue Drees, with distress inks and Stickles, the pot that Tilda is sitting on is a built-up Penny Black image, I masked off several different PB stamps to arrive at that pot, as well as a Magnolia fence from the Shabby Chic collection. The checkered paper is K & Co. and the floral is Prima. I've folded some doilies to act as borders for my image and sentiment, sentiment is computer-generated, Blackadder font, my fave!! I took inspiration from Linda The Funkie Junkie and had a go with a button, somehow running lace through it makes it okay, buttons can be fab, oh yes, they can be fab!! Thanks for the inspiration Linda!!

Some of you will notice that my project is a little different than what was posted at MDUC. Dear Tab at 7 Kids College Fund sent out my emergency Maggie order of a couple older Easter images to pass the time while I anxiously wait for the new release..... These little chicks came this afternoon so I got to work completing my project, thanks Tab!! A lot of my cards turn into easle cards I just never update the post.

Sooo onto challlenges:
Fussy and Fancy: Easter
Just Magnolia: Sketch

more to come but my ass is sore from all this sitting, will finish this up in a bit!! Thanks for coming by and visiting, I hope your weekend is going wonderfully!!

Time for a sketch!!

Hello friends,
it's time once again for our
wonderful Wednesday challenge over at
Creative Inspirations
This week we have a lovely sketch by Nat
and a delish prize from Bunny Zoe up for grabs,
I hope you'll stop by, better yet,
I hope we'll see you there!!

Here's my version of the sketch, I used a fabulous image from SCACD, this stamp is called Bunnie!! The plaid DP is MME and the stripes Graphic 45, I had a disaster with my sewing machine this afternoon if anyone is wondering why my outer layer is about 15% sewn, I'm not incredibly sure where the rest of the needle went, but before it broke off it ripped the shieeot out of my paper!! The little flowers and leaf are Prima and the fern punch is by EK Success, I left them unglittered and unglitzed because I was liking the rustic look of the colours.

And here be some challenges!!

Everybody Art Ostern
Secret Crafter Spring Has Sprung
Stamp Something Distressed Somethings
Stamp With Fun Ostern
Stampin' For the Weekend Easter

Thanks for looking and I hope
we'll see you at
Creative Inspirations
this week!!

Cream and Green Tilda Creation

Hello Happy Bloggers,
How are you all this fine day in March?
The day after St. Patties Day,
I posted yesterday and how rude of me not to say
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

I am back with a creation,
I've needed some crAft-therapy moreso than usual,
it's slightly cheaper than going to a shrink,
so without further ado, my FINAL project for
Magnolia Down Under Store

My 6 month Designer position at MDU is up and as the observant girls have noticed, Magnolia Down Under has gone, well, Down Under, in the decision to sell exclusively to Australia, it seemed only fitting that the Design Team be Aussie-exclusive too, so I'm off like a dirty shirt, like a bad hat, like Aunt Mildreds gurdle on a hot Summer day, a withered rose, a a a a.... It has been a delight, an honour and a great pleasure working for Waffle, and I will DEFINITELY miss the happy mail every new release, thanks for the experience and the opportunity to represent your store, dear Waffler!! And an aside here, this is the store we're talking about and not the challenge blog, I will still be creating with MDUC.

This is the adorable Honey Tilda and her honey pot from the Magnolia Raising The Ceiling collection, along with many of the other treasures sent to me from the wonderful Kellie, owner of Magnolia Down Under, you can find the stamps, both size laces, the cutie patootie charm, the gardenia, leaves, doileys and pearls sprays at the shop, click the link above to check out what is in stock at MDU.

Challenges:
Simon Says Splash 'O' Green
Stamp Something Cream and Green Challenge,
sketch from Magnolia-licious Highlites
Saturday Spotlight You're So Slick!!! (jar and wings)

Thanks for stopping by,
I hope you've got some fun crafty things
planned for this weekend.

Stephanne

Spring Fever!!! Creative Inspirations Colour Challenge!!

Hello everybody!!
It is Wednesday and that means
we have a new challenge lined up for you at
Creative Inspirations!!
It a colour challenge of
GREEN, YELLOW and WHITE!!
For a laugh, I will tell you that I put in the code for white font, lol, then thought, well what good is that gonna do over my white blog, duh!!

Penny Black is like comfort food to me, when I need to reach out for something that will warm my heart, I get out a PB stamp. The flowered paper is BG and the checkered peice is DCWV, the ribbon is by May Arts, the MS doily punch was used to make the matting for the teddy, the lace is from my stash and there is some sewing going on.

Teddy is coloured in distress inks and the flowers are dressed up with Stickles and a Spica pen. The flowers are an assortment from my stash, spritzed with gold Smooch then StarDust Stickles was added. I ripped off the leaves and babys breath of an old floral stem from Michaels bridal department and stuck them in with the glamourized roses.

And how about some challenges to play along with:
Cupcake Craft Challenges is going green!!
Friday Sketchers well....
Fussy and Fancy is looking for GREEN!!

DT-Magnolia Down Under gets charmed with Creative Inspirations!!

Hello there friends,
it is Wednesday and that means
we are hosting a new challenge over at
Creative Inspirations
which is to use CHARMS on your project!!

I've been itching to get my mitts into the wonderful kit that Kellie from Magnolia Down Under sent me to create with. The adorable stamps are from the Raising The Ceiling collection, all items used can be found in Kellies shop here, except for the charm, although Waffles is now stocking charms, do check them out!! She's got these cute little baseball caps that would be perfect for our darling Edwin creations!!

I've coloured in distress inks on watercolour paper and stamped the images onto regular CS, cut out a circular shape, shadowed the image in Faded Jeans and then placed the cut out watercoloured images in place. I covered the glass area of the honey jar in Diamond Glaze and Tildas wings are Stickled in Crystal. And apparently, I need to go back and colour the bee...

Thanks for stopping by and I just want to say thanks to all of you who are kind enough to stop by and leave me blog love in my most stressful times. I am missing so many fun challenges and fabulous inspiration from you all lately and while it bums me out, I know I will be able to return to blogging properly soon, so thanks for sticking it out with me, I appreciate it.
Take Care,
Stephanne

I masked off the rose that she has in her mouth so that one lovely pooch could dominate the creation. Oh Baby, Lace, Pins and Pearls!!

Hello Everybody,
I hope all is well with you
and that you have been having some
sweet crafty time for yourself!!
It's Wednesday and than means
it is time for a new challenge over at
Creative Inspirations,
and a gorgeous one it is,
we'd like to see you use
Lace, Pins and Pearls
on your projects.
A challenge for some,
nearly a guarantee for me,
I love the frilly stuff!!

I've had Elisabeth Bell curiosities for some time now, she makes the cutest little animals alongside her adorable dollie-like images, so I had a little spend over at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. I happened to stumble over there on release day for the third sampler Elisabeth Bell has made for Susana's shop and this image is called Oh Baby from that collection. How lucky was that??!?! And what's even better, my order was processed that same day and I received it 2 days later, now THAT is service!! Also from SCACD are those little coral hued primas, they are the ones in the middle of the flower medley.

Papers are from DCWV, lace, pearls and pins are from my stash, I coloured the image in distress inks and the dress has been Stickled where I thought there ought to be some light reflection going on, it's polyester, lol. I cut out the image and adhered it to a circle with a shadowed image underneath, gives good dimension. And I guess that's that...

Other challenges I'll pop this in at:
Cupcakes Craft Challenge Round and Round
Saturday Spotlight Clean it up!!

Thanks for popping in,
I hope you will have some crafty time this week
so you can join in with the challenge at
Creative Inspirations,
a yummy prize is lined up for one lucky contestant
and the Design Team has prepared a
feast for your eyes to be inspired by!!
Take Care Friends,
Stephanne
