Like a Hell-broth....

Hi there and welcome to my blog,
it's that time of the month where I lay about 5 posts on ya in 1 night, so bare with me here, lot's to see in a short amount of time...
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE BELLES 'N WHISTLES BLOGHOP, CLICK HERE!!!!!

And The TICKLED PINK PARTY has begun, click HERE to check that out, lots of giveaways and fun happenings, jam-packed with gorgeous samples from the Pink Ladies.

Today is Thursday and that means that the amazing Melissa Jenkins has some new images released over at Whimsy Stamps, this image is called Bibble Bauble Cauldron and you can find it HERE. In addition to the regular weekly MJ images, today Whimsy Stamps released a set of digital Halloween Sentiment tickets by the tremendously talented Ann V and you can find those in store HERE, I think they are a great touch and could see myself popping them on nearly anything or even printing out a whole bunch of them and having a fun raffle game for the kiddos, awwww, the possibilities....

I decided to challenge myself and NOT go for the overtly cute images to work with, but instead, make a card focused on an object. A challenge indeed, why, if it weren't for that little frog in the corner of the cauldron, I might not have been able to finish my task, lol!! So I needed a spell, as cauldrons are used for making potions, but didn't want to go and open up Hell's Gate or anything so I opted for Shakespear, lol. The papers are Martha Stewart (boo), 7 Gypsies (stripes) and Basic Grey (dots), of course, the colouring is with distress inks and touches of white gel pen and touches of Stickles.
Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog

The image was cut out and then reattached to another identical image with foam dots, keeping the background twiddly bits and background area is a good thing, it allows the attached image to pop even more. I distressed the bajeezus out of the area around the cauldron attempting to create an eerie fog-like glow.... yeah...

And that should do for now.
Don't forget to pop over to the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog, there's always lots to look through and admire there.

How is the Halloween crafting coming along in your craft room?
Any cool altered items or paper mache?
Awwww, this is my favourite season, so I am trying to get out there and enjoy it
but these cute stamps keep calling me back to my craft room, lol!!
til next time,

Belles 'n Whistles Blog Hop-The Changeabelles Collection

Hello out there Blogland,
and welcome to Belles 'n Whistles ChangeaBelles blog hop,
good for you, you have made it to the end!!!
I hope you have been leaving comments along the way, as each member of the team, us guests included, will be giving away the stamp of the winners choice from the new collection, woopie!! In addition, one randomly selected participant will win the ENTIRE NEW RELEASE!! If you've been following along, then you came from Mary Frances's blog And if you haven't been, do you want to play along?? Head on back to the Belles 'n Whistles Blog to start at the beginning!!

All I can say, really, is that I had a blast putting this together.

Oh, you want details? Well, this image is called "Wheeling By" and he is pulling his little wagon on by with the new fish bowl accessory stamp on it. Do you recognize the kitty??? That image is not actually part of this release but is the kitty from 'Cupcake', where Belle is holding a cupcake and the little kitty is wrapping around her leg waiting for crumbs... Too cute!! I though this fishbowl needed an admirer. I freehanded the sidewalk and hilly background and added the adorable sunshine accessory stamp to the top of the image. Everything was coloured in distress inks. I have given it a 3D overhaul with foam dots. The fishbowl was stamped onto a plastic wrapper and then modge podged over the top for a shiny effect.

I've used a mix of papers, K & Company (literature) and MME (stripes), of course, everything was distressed and torn up and ripped with scissors, there's a panel that was punched with a martha stewart border and I added lace and gingham over the top for that little finishing touch. This was quite fun to work with, my son had just received a radio flyer wagon from his grandpa and when he'd see me working on this project, he'd come over and stare at it and ask, "Is that me, mama?" Awwww, such sweet little images...

I hope you've enjoyed the hop, these little cuties will be available for preorder today and shipping is expected to begin next week. Now you will need to head on back to the Belles 'n Whistles blog to let us know just how fabulous the new images are (giggles, I may be slightly biased, lol!!)

Thanks for stopping by,

Look at those sweater puppies!!

Hi there and thanks for stopping by!!
Today I have the pleasure of sharing a sample I crafted up for Whimsy Stamps using one of MelJens images, this one's called Little Dachshund and you can find it HERE.

This little sweetie is a lot of fun to colour, and if you follow the main lines of the images, they are great to cut out and pop up with foam mounts. The image has a little ball for the dog to play with, but I covered it with leaves for the sake of my theme here, it was supposed to look as though the pup was frolicking through the leaves but my flower arrangements have a way of growing out of hand!!

I am going to enter this in at PaperPlay Challenges, they are hosting a Coffee and Cream challenge, I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and Stampin' for the Weekend is hosting a Tag it challenge!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Bikkie The Platypus joins in with some fall crafting!!

Hello blogging buddies!!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!!
The weather here in Kansas has been glorious, light, crisp temperatures, low humidity, just wonderful!! I have had the luxury of playing with my crafty stuff this weekend and I created this card featuring Bikkie The Platypus from The Stamping Bazaar, illustrated by the talented Marina Neira, you can find it in digi and rubber HERE

Bikkie is just as sweet as can be, I think the character can work for both boy and girl cards, so I have banked on my theory while crafting, adding touches of delicate floral around an otherwise neutral palette. The papers are October Afternoon (spots) and Recollections(stripes), all floral punches are by EK Success and the doily punch is MS. I've coloured Bikkie with distress inks and cut him (or her) out and popped it up with foam dots. The pearls are Kaiser and the gingham is BoBunny. The expression on this little critter is priceless, it could be an I miss you card, Thinking of You, Thank you, the list goes on and on!!

I would like to pop this in at a few places,
ASFOS is hosting an Anything Goes Challenge,
at Crafty Catz Challenges there is a stitching challenge underway, at Charisma Cardz they are having an anything goes challenge, and I've used the fabulously versatile sketch from Cute Card Thursday. Phew, that's better!! I am starting to have challenge withdrawals over here!! And the dryer is done, so it is time to go and do my part and get to folding!! Til next time!!

Belle is Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree-BNWguestDT

Hello Blogging Buddies,
Has everyone (except Elise in Las Vegas) gotten a taste of Autumn yet?
We have had some refreshing temperatutes here in the south central plains,
the humidity has dropped, if only for a moment,
and the brisk breeze is beginning to bring the leaves off of trees.
This is my favourite time of year; mild temperatures, lots of harvest bounty to bake with, beautiful wildflowers abound, and time to get on that seasonal crafting!!

And just in the knick of Holiday crafting time, Belles 'n Whistles has converted some of last years seasonal favourites into wonderful, clear photopolymer and I couldn't wait to get my inky little fingers on them!! This image is called Rockin' Around and you can find it HERE.

I just adore Elisabeth Bells sweet little images!! She includes such charming details in her images, like Belle on her rocking horse, with her little bare foot sticking out from behind the pony, in real life, I don't know that I could resist giving those feet a tickle!! And her teddy has joined her for the ride, now what could be cuter??? When I was a little girl, I dreamed of waking up to finding a rocking horse under the Christmas tree!! This, I suppose, is what it might look like at the lucky little ladies house who DOES get that rocking horse for Christmas, lol!!

I have stamped the image 4 times and decoupaged it, adhering the images to each other with foam dots and colouring with distress inks, I also ran a gray pencil around the edges of the images to soften up the lines of demarcation, they can look a little harsh if they are left white. The snowflake panel was distressed in vintage photo, the DP is from last years Magnolia paper and the flowers, lace and ribbon are from my stash!!

Thanks for stopping by to visit my project, I really appreciate your time and thoughts!! I am completely thrilled to be "working" if you can really classify stamping as work, as a guest for Belles 'n Whistles, the stamps are as sweet as can be and so are the lovely ladies on the bnw design team!! Thank you Summer and the BnW team for allowing me this great pleasure!!

Hugs, Stephanne

How's about a challenge and some sneak peeks from TSB??

Hello hello hello!!
How is everybody in Blogland?
Good, I hope!!
Me, I shouldn't complain, but I likely will before the end of my post!!
Yeah, not funny, but yet, I keep on trying to crack jokes, when will I learn...
So the purpose of my post is not to bore you with lame jokes, but instead, to tell you about a fun, good-spirited challenge that is being hosted off of The Stamping Bazaars store blog, we are hosting an Operation Write Home challenge that will be open until October 8th. Essentially, what you will need to do is make a card, blank on the inside and following the general guidelines of the OWH organization, read about them HERE, and then TSB is asking, that in order to be eligible for the prizes, which are fabulous by the way, that you link our challenge up in your blog post and come back to TSB's store blog and leave us a link to your project. You can read all about the challenge HERE as well as feast your eyes on the sneak peeks of Marina Neira's up and coming digital releases. Tonight, I get to showcase a very lovely design, she is called Jolly Josie and she is just as sweet as can be!!

I have coloured the little furball in distress inks and intensified the colours with pencil in some areas, then redefining with a copic sketch pen and added just a bit of stickles to the white trims of the image. I've used a combination of papers by Magnolia (holly) and Imaginisce (stripes) along with vintage photo distress ink and a MS doily punch, the ribbon and gingham are from my stash.

The flowers are by I Am Roses (big brown ones) and prima (white) and I used a small ek success retro flower punch over K & Co. paper for the teeny flowers, the leaves and rose buds are from my stash.

I hope you can hop on over to The Stamping Bazaar because the post that went up tonight is incredible, there are tons of gorgeous projects that we all have been working on and I tell ya, you won't be disappointed!! The team is stuffed full of talent and they have helped to bring Marinas new designs to life in the most wonderful ways!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog,
I truly appreciate each and every visit!!
Til next time, stephanne

Oooooooh, I nearly forgot to mention this!!
The Stamping Bazaar just got 4 new rubber stamp designs in store, woohoo!!! I have Susie with Pie heading my way and I can hardly wait to ink her up!! Marvin with Candy Apple, he's there, go check it out!!

You've got a furrrrriend-DT Whimsy

Hello Blogger Buddies!!
Happy Sunday to you!!
As some of my blogging buddies might already know,
I made some spare time and hopped along with
Whimsy Stamps' new release blog hop,
it's nice to do random things you don't "have" to do
every now and then, wouldn't you say?
Well, to my ultimate surprise and pleasure,
I won the prize from the hop,
which was 5 images of my choice and
the opportunity to be a guest designer through September.
Awesome upon awesome, right?
Well, imagine me falling out of my chair when I opened an email with a bonafide invite onto the Whimsy Stamps DT? It took about 20 seconds to catch my breath after being pretty well stunned by the email, then typed yes yes yes as fast as my fingers could move, lol!! The Whimsy Team is amazing as it is, I hope I can bring something to the table of this already astounding bunch, and I look forward to the opportunity to share the creative process with all who are willing to read it, lol!!

***By the way, The Whimsy Stamps web site is back up and better than ever, if you've been by recently and had a hard time, the system has been successfully restored/upgraded, hip hip hooray!!!***

So, without further ado,
here is my first project for the Whimsy inspirations Blog, the fabulous Debbie Eastman has been kind enough to let me join in with her posting, thank you Debbie :) featuring the adorable Kitty Cat Love by MelJen, love it!!

I've coloured the prisma image in pencils and added a touch of pearl smooch on the outside of the white kitties shiny coat, the white kitty is cut out and popped up on foam mounts also. The image was shadowed in prisma color markers and the distressing around the image is done in brushed corduroy.

The papers are October Afternoon, the big flowers are I am roses, the oak leaf branch is Martha Stewart and the paper used for them is K & Co. All the other treasure is from my stash, and the distressing is all brushed corduroy and scuffed up with scissors.

Well, I think that is about it for now.
Next, my lesson on making spare time, lol!!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope the rest of your weekend
goes swimmingly!!
hugs, stephanne

Louisa the Lioness strums along with Creative Inspirations Tag It challenge!!

HellooooOoOooo ladies and gents
and welcome to another challenge over at
Creative Inspirations.
This week, we'd like to see you make a gift tag.
Also, have you seen that Creative Inspirations is having a DT- call???
Click HERE to check it out!!!

I've used the furrrrociously fancy
Louisa the Lioness digi stamp by Marina Neira,
you can find her HERE at The stamping Bazaar!!
She is coloured with distress inks and touches of pencil,
as shown in the previous post, lol.
I erased the green then went back in with pencils
and shadowed the eye area and highlighted above her nose
with a white gel pen and, well, phew!!!

Let me just say, Marina has been hard at work whipping up these adorably sweet characters, we lucky ladies on The Stamping Bazaar DT are definitely on cuteness overload (in the greatest of ways, let me assure you!!), Louisa hit me as sort of a sassy lass at first, but the more I spent time with her, the more I saw her elegant, artistic character, her lyrics bursting with raw femininity, like a young Tori Amos, lol, Roary Amos. Oh my gosh, does anyone read this.... I, uhhhhh, okay, on with the show...

The base of this tag is made out of Gina K Kraft CS, the DP is K & Company and the laces and fibres are from my stash, the flowers are from I Am Roses (thanks for the addiction, tracey!!) and the brads are Basic Grey. The punches used in my branchy area are Martha Stewart, they were spritzed with glimmer mist and then gold stickles was added.

In the back, there is K & Co checkers and the music script is by Magnolia, the gingham is just your basic, bar none ribbon and the lace is the same, I let the hem out of the lace and then secured it around the sentiment panel, the gems are by Hero Arts. Everything was distressed in Brushed Corduroy and roughed up with scissors, the shape on the bottom of the tag was achieved with a ek success punch.

This was a lot of fun to make,
even with the unsolicited help of my son,
you can see the action in my previous post, lol!!
He must have been real proud of himself,
picking out just the right green to add in the finishing touches, lol!!

Want to see the artist at large?
The whole thing turned into a joke after I took this picture of him
and those heavenly rays of sunlight danced upon my little mischief maker,
as if I am being mocked by something much larger than me, lol.

Holy crap, I can hear the wild turkeys outside, I am going out for a look!!
hugs, stephanne

When toddlers strike....

CAUTION: Never leave toddlers unattended in your craft space!!!

Can I salvage this?
Come back later and find out....
There's either going to be a finished project
or a photo of me with all my hair ripped out, lol.
I should know better!!!
What a rookie move....

P.S. I can't blame all that slop on my kid, when I know I am going to cut out an image, I throw caution to the wind while colouring and get paint all over the place.

Tickled Pink Stamps Going Batty Sample Day!!

Hi there bloggers!!
Just popping in to share some news with you!!
At Tickled Pink Stamps
we have the pleasure of working with a new-to-us artist
Heather Rolin, who has created these wonderful digi sets for TPS.
Yesterday the girls at TPS previewed a set called Let It Rock,
a very cool sentiment and extra bits set,
and today we are showing you things from the Going Batty set.

In my card I have used Evie from our first Lil Lolita's release, along with the house, pumpkin and sentiment from the Going Batty release. This is really a cool way to get in on some Halloween background pieces without spending a fortune, and without having to wait all that long to get to your creative process!!

I call this my Hallowe'en card without traditional Hallowe'en supplies!! I hope that no one is scared off by seasonal cards because they don't have the right stuff, because frankly, you don't need it!!! If you've got spotty dotty DP or an embossing folder that has dots on it, some orange, purple, black or green paper, a cool scallop punch, some dotty or gingham ribbon, that is enough. Checkers will do wonders for you, you don't NEED Hallowe'en themed stuff, all you need is the image. Buttons!!! This is a great time to use your black and purple buttons, twine, hemp, star charms, there are tons of everyday things that can be used to create Hallowe'en projects, don't let the season SPOOK you!!

Well, that is all for now!!
TPS store blog has some fun activities going on with this release,
including the obligatory release give-aways
and did ya see the Celebrity TPS guest spot???

Design Team Calls for MDUC, Creative Inspirations and guest spot for TPS

Hello ladies,
I just wanted to pop in and let you all know of a couple of things going on in Blogland. Not too long ago, I made the hard choice to leave Magnolia Down Under, in addition to a few other girls leaving as well. While it was not easy, I felt that the spot would be better suited for someone else.
And guess what??????
Now's the time for that someone else to get on over there,
because they are hosting a DT call
that is open until September 11th,
please drop by The DT Call for more details!!
You will love working with the lovely ladies at MDUC,
they are a hoot and a true pleasure to create alongside!!

In a similar note, Creative Inspirations is hosting a Design Team call as well. After losing several members, myself included, it is time to let a few other talented ladies take over the throne at Creative Inspirations, the call will run until September 22nd, you can click HERE for all the details. While weekly challenges can seem hectic, I must say from personal experience that Nat is incredibly well organized and communicates well, making things very easy on the team.

It is hard to leave, and the decision on leaving these teams was not easy,
so this will serve as my formal announcement,
as I generally prefer to sneak out undetected as far as my blog is concerned.
On the flip-side, I "resign" like a pro,
giving 2 weeks notice, contributing til the end, etc.
Odd, isn't it... Still working on finding that inner balance, lol.
So to clear things up,
I am long gone from MDUC and
next week will be my last for Creative Inspirations.

Okay, okay, okay, I've got one more for you here,
and this has nothing to do with me leaving,
just a fun little something to invite you over to:
Tickled Pink Stamps
is looking for a celebrity guest to spotlight
our fabulous Tickled Pink products.
The call is open til September 10th and you can
head on over HERE
for all the details.

Kind of a weird post, eh?
Sorry about that....

TPS Monthly and Creative Inspirations Puppy Kiki project!!

Hello dear bloggers,
How was your weekend?
In the states, we had our Memorial Day happenings,
3 days weekend, for the kids anyway!!!
And I was fortunate enough to have some company,
my dad and stepmom drove in from California
to hang out with us!!
It was really quite nice,
they showed up a little early,
so I didn't get to do all the cleaning I had planned,
but nevertheless, good times, good times.

Well, I'll bet you are here to see a card,
not read about my personal life,
so here we go then!!
I have combined my
Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly Challenge sample
which is a fine sketch created by Kellie Winnell,
with my Creative Inspirations project,
their challenge is lace and sparkle,
and we are sponsored by the yummilicious
Craft Brulee,
and arrived at this creation:

This is my first C.C. Design stamp EVER, which I bought from the lovely Kellie of Tickled Pink Stamps, find it HERE, she's been coloured with distress inks then highlighted and Spica'd. That lovely lace and beautifully vintage embellishment are from Craft Brulee, thank you Nat for setting this fab sponsor up, they even provided a little something for us DT girls to play with, as you can see here ;)

The papers are Cosmo Cricket (floral) and Pink Paislee (dots), a fantastic square doily in the mix, the CS and edges of most things have been glittered with Stardust Stickles.

Well, I hope you will take a look at what these overly-talented ladies have whipped up for the challenges, if you'd like to get a looksie at that TPS sketch for the challenge blog, I have it in my sidebar!!

Nighty night, sleep tight!!
Bedbugs are said to be on the rise,

And now, here is my creation with Marina's furmazing creation!!!

I've used the adorable Trick or Treat Marvin on a little treat bag. I don't think we will be doing much trick or treating this year, so I think making little bags like there for my kids will do nicely. Marvin is coloured with pencils, the paper is Recollections, the pompom ribbon is from Michaels ribbon by the yard selection, and the buttons are from Michaels as well. The candycorn knotted ribbon is by K & Company, thank you Sue!!! And the sentiment is by PSX.

I used Bazzill Kraft CS to construct the base of the bag, then took a burnt orange piece of cs and punched both sides with a MS star border punch, I layered the DP onto black CS and then sewed it in wiggly lines before adhering the panels to the orange CS and then wrapping the project in this funky web-like ribbon.

For this creation, I have coloured in prisma pencils, then I hit that apple up with some red smOOch and then diamond glazed it, yum yum!!! The papers are October Afternoon (spots) and We R Memory Keepers (checkers), the rest of the treasure is from my stash. I thought that our little friend enjoying the bounty of the harvest season could easily pass for a seasonal image, so that is what I did, and the sentiment says, Wishing you a fruitful fall, which is of course, HILARIOUS because Marvin, in my mind, is a fruit bat and he is, muahahahahaha, hahaha haaaaaa!!! He's also eating fruit, hahaha HA!!!!

With Magnolia carrying on with their cuteness, I will never be able to stay away from them!!!! I tried to quit them cold-turkey, as they are habit forming and have been depleting my wallet for a year now, but I don't know... I mean, have you seen the babies this release, soooooo cute!!!!

Well, that will do for now!!
I have another Marvin sample tonight so hop back in if you'd like!!

Well, it is the dawn of a new month,
and that means it is time for a new gorgeous sketch
from Chelsea at Crafting Life's Pieces
I love her sketches, they always make me smile!!
And this one is no different,
so many layers and chances to add in lots of yumminess!!

I've used a fabulous Gurlee Girl stamp, Blossom Fairies Cammy, find her HERE, she's coloured in distress inks with lots of stickles and spica added to her in all the right spots, the papers are Pink Paisley, the MS doily punch came out for a play, and other things are from my stash!!

Here's a look at that sketch for ya!!!

What's that you say?
It's too small to see????
Well, I guess you'd better head over to CLP Challenges
to check it out, lol!!
Hope to see you there,
The sketch runs all month
so there's plenty of time to pop by and join in!!
