Tilda makes an appearance, woopie!!!

Hi ladies,
thanks for stopping by today!!
I thought I'd take some time to squeeze in a just for fun project featuring some of my unloved Magnolia stamps. Poor things always end up neglected!! I guess I'm not too far behind this time as Tilda with Daisy is fairly recent.


Let me start out by saying that I love sherbet ice cream!! So when I saw the challenge at Magnolia Down Under this week, I thought, yum, definitely going to play!!! I painted my images with distress ink pads. The papers are DCWV and the flowers are a mix of WOC and I Am Roses. That's about all there is to it, my version of clean and simple.



And here's a close up of the images, I had a little too much fun layering in colours on this.

Final Whimsy Sample for this months release, doggone cute!!

Hi there Whimsy fans!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!!
So most of my visitors have been hopping along faithfully day by day, so by now, you all know the routine. I've used the adorable Little Playmates stamp illustrated by Crissy Armstrong along with a MelJen accessory stamp called..... I've painted in distress inks, the papers are by Simples Stories except for the dots, that's Basic Grey. Also used are flowers, stamen, twine, charm and pom poms, all from my stash.

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of Whimsy Stamps February Rubber Die Release Showcase!

On Wednesday (22 February) Whimsy Stamps released this month's rubber designs, new Shapeology dies and new Shape EZ templates. From then until 28 February the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop.

Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw.

I've used the newly released (in rubber) Dragons Little Friend by the talented Melissa Jenkins, along with some sentiments from the new Love Postage Stamp by the amazing Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs, as well as our new Corner Dies Set and an older vine from our Vines Die Set. As always, you can find all products shown here at the fabulous Whimsy Stamps online store!!



The papers are by 3 Bugs in a Rug, along with some cardboard. The image was coloured in distress ink pads with touches of white gel pen and Stardust Stickles. The flowers are a mix of a lot of different companies and the laces and other things are from my stash!!


I'm going to enter this into a couple of challenges:

Whimsy Stamps February Release info and Wee Sympathy Bugs Project

Welcome to Whimsy Stamps February rubber stamp and die RELEASE DAY!

Whimsy Stamps is releasing 19 fantastic new rubber stamps and 5 wonderful new Shapeology dies today! These new goodies are available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites. (NB All of Raindrop Echo Designs February stamps and 2 of this month's Shapeology dies were released last week as part of the 3 Companies blog hop). 

From today until 28 February the Whimsy DT and Special Guests will be showcasing these fabulous new stamps and dies with a daily mini blog hop. Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you will have 24hrs to enter each prize draw by leaving a comment on every blog listed for that day.

From this release onwards we are doing things a little differently.  At the end of release week (Wednesday 29 January) we will post a Release Round-Up here on the Whimsy blog. This will include a selection of new release DT work from the past week together with a complete list of winners from the daily mini blog hops.

So here is my first sample using some of our newly released goodies!!



I have used the adorable Sympathy Bugs by Sylvia Zet, coloured with distress ink pads, as well as our newly released Spiral Notebook Border Die and one of our new corner dies from the Corner Die Set!! designed by the amazing Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs!! All products can be found in store at Whimsy Stamps!!


I'll be honest, I've been dreaming of what I wanted to do with this stamp for what seems like ages. Alas, it's here in rubber, so hip hip hooray for us!!!! The papers are a mix of K & Co (text), Pink Paislee (backing) and Kaiser (green dots). I layered the image with Nesties dies and used several different ribbons and laces adhered with glue and staples!!! Staples are fantastic!! The flowers are a mix of WOC and I Am Roses and the distressing was done in Vintage Photo.

We are ever so lucky to get to work with Chelsea's
recently relaunched Gurlee Girls, though they have undergone a name change,

So here is my problem: my new overly fancy printer doesn't do digi's. Nope, it just wont let me color them no matter my trials and tribulations. So what I did was, washed it!! I read that somewhere, some time ago, not sure where, but thought, hey, I'll give it a go. And so, the "effect" if you will, that you see on my image, is me rinsing off the top layer of ink and then painting with distress ink pads.


The papers are Basic Grey and the top print is Melissa Frances. The stuff on the card is mostly stash stuff, laces, doilies, rick rack, the flowers are a mixture of I Am Roses and Wild Orchid Crafts. Distressing was done in Walnut Stain, scuffed up with scissors and the papers are sewn.

Heartfelt Hugs!!

Hi there Blogging Buddies!!!
I've had the pleasure of popping another Tilda on a card,
I tend to stamp and paint them, but then.....
I stamp and paint more images instead of making cards,
can't deny that colouring is the part I love the most!!


I painted this little lady in distress ink pads, the papers are Basic Grey, distressing done in WAlnut Stain and scuffed up with scissors, the heart doily is from a dear blogging buddy, the punches are by Martha Stewart, flowers are from I Am Roses, pearls are Kaiser, and the vine punch in amoungst the pretty petals is designed by Ann Vento for Whimsy Stamps!!

Happiness Be Yours

Hi there Blogger Buddies,
Long time, no see!!!
It's my "weekend" and I thought I'd start it off with a project!!
I got these Valentines Maggies in a couple months ago
and had better get crackin' if I want some cards done for THIS YEARS event lol!!


So here is the lovely Valentino, painted in distress ink pads, the papers are KaiserCraft, the border die is Magnolia, flowers are from I Am Roses, the swirls and swirly die cuts are from Whimsy Stamps. The laces and other goodies are from my stash.
