My Sentiments Exactly....

Good morning, good evening, good afternoon,
whatever it might be for you,
I am here to show you my project
for this weeks challenge over at
Creative Inspirations,
which is

SENTIMENTS
Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ugh!!! I loathe sentiments!!!
If you are a regular visitor to my blog
you already know this...
When a sketch calls for a sentiment
I put bows or flowers there instead,
needless to say, this week is a challenge indeed.
To play along, you need to let
a sentiment take center stage.
No stamped characters or images, just text.
Good time to break out the
too-scrummy-to-cover papers!!!

Not much to say about this one, DP is BG, I used MS doily punch, EK Success fern punch and Fiskars scallop shears. The stamp is Penny Black and I stamped in Sepia Archival ink before distressing in Old Paper. Charm, ribbon, pins and flowers are from my stash.

Basic Grey challengesTutti Frutty
Secret Crafter Saturday Pink, green and flowers!!

So there has been some concern about my relationship with my sewing machine and I figure I might as well be honest with you all and tell you what's going on. Since the needle-breaking hissy fit, I left her out on the counter, I look at her every now and then, and I think, geez, should I even bother to try and switch that needle out once again, I mean, I don't need that kind of sass!! She just kept on with her silent treatment and it came down to this: Enough is enough!! So I stuck her white sheath of a cover over her and put her in the corner. I thought I heard her whisper, "No one puts Baby in the corner" but realized it was time to get a grip, no one talks to me but my cat....

Until next time friends!!
And if for some reason I don't post
between now and the weekend,
I hope everyone has a
wonderful and joyous Easter!!

Take Care,
Stephanne

Hahahaha!! Great minds indeed, this is a little bit freaky, out cards could almost be a set. Don't you just love that paper, I was so excited when I found it in the shop the other week :) Sorry to hear the tiff between you and your sewing machine has escalated, I'm sure you both just need some time to cool down. As for the talking, I don't know about that, I only swear at my machine when it's being naughty and I don't think I have heard it speak back, but I would probably be too grunmy and ignore what ever it has to say anyway :)
Happy Easter Stephalicious!!

Had to laugh at your post, Stephanne, and then went back and read the previous one. I hope my machine and I never reach that point of contention! I simply can't make cards without sewing anymore!! Your card this week is fabulous, as always. I didn't know you had a sentiment phobia, but glad to see you were able to work though this challenge and overcome it!!

Hugs,
Linda

I'm getting ready to deliver the same treatment to my sewing machine, and it doesn't even sass me! I just need room for my uber cool vintage guillotine paper cutter! (It cuts STRAIGHT!)

Alright ... hmmm ... is there anything you can't create?! lol! For someone that doesn't like to do sentiment cards, you sure do it BEAUTIFULLY!! I'm not kidding, this is super duper FABULOUS love! That delicious dp with that gorgeous punch, and those lovely flowers along with that luscious bow and charm ... gosh woman! You do it all marvelously!!! How do you turn something simple as a sentiment card into something so gorgeous?! Magical hands is what it is!

Now, your little sass machine ... alright. Maybe you've gotta soothe her and give her a lovely stroke or something. Talk really sweet to her and tell her, "This is your last warning love ... if you don't cooperate, you won't be in the corner any longer. No, you'll be out on the CURB!!!" lol ... I'm kidding! :) She'll come around, give her a little resting time!

And as for "no one puts baby in a corner" ... alright, that made me LMAO!!! Thanks Stephanne for another delightful read!

Hope you have a great rest of the week!!!

Luv,
Elise

I'm with ya, my friend! I'm not good with sentiments... Most of mine DON'T have any - and I'm OK with that :)

But I do like your card even with the sentiment. Probably because it refers to yummy sweets - lol! Lovely flowers, cool ribbon and charm too!

Happy Easter, Stephanne :)

Love and hugs ~ Lori

You are good for my soul - anyone who can make people laugh is worth their weight in gold - or maybe MY weight in gold - more value for money - LOL.
Your card is fab - especially for someone out of their comfort zone!

Stunning card, Stephanne!
To do a card with only a sentiment is real challenge, I hate sentiments too!
But you've made a perfect card, it's lovely! The strawberry paper is gorgeous!

You've got something at my blog!
Happy Easter!
Lots of hugs & love, from Hanna

Well for a self-proclaimed sentiment hater (who hates sentiments???) you did yourself proud! Love the strawberry paper and that delishous bow. Your flowers are always beautiful. Now, to your sewing machine. Please tell Stephanie that it sounds like something got bent or out of line (that might have been Stephanie) causing the needle to hit metal and keep breaking. Sounds like a trip to the sewing machine doc is in order!

Hugs
Sue

Well, you picked a really cute sentiment, that must have made it a bit easier to create such a lovely card! The paper and charm match it perfectly, but then of course you meant to do that--I love it! I also recommend taking that bad girl (sewing machine) in for service, and you can never change needles too often!

April

Just as funny as ever! I know what you mean about sentiments, but it did make me laugh that you would use one that involved CHOCOLATE!!! Tooooo funny. And your cat talks to you? Now I am getting worried! LOL! keeleyxx
