Prima Ballerina moving into Creative Inspirations Wednesday Challenge!!

Hello to all of you beautiful people!!
I hope the day (or night) finds you well!!
It is time for a new challenge over at
Creative Inspirations Wednesdays Challenge Blog
and I hope you'll find this a fun one,
our theme for you is

On the move...

This can mean so many different things, an image that is moving action-wise, a literal move, like to a new home, a moving element on your card, and any other thing that you can imagine up, we'd like to see your creations of your "moving" ideas!!

This is an image called Twinkle Toes featuring Monica of the House Mouse gang, she is coloured in prisma pencils and her shadow was created in chalk, I've stamped around the image in Old Paper with some fun Inkadinkado swirls then dotted on top of the swirls with Buttermilk Spica glitter pen and Diamond Stickles.

It's been raining here, that means my natural lighting is next to none and my pictures have heavy shadows, but I hope you get the idea. Papers are K & Co., the flowers got the Stickle treatment, stamen from Prima and the Bridal Department at Micheals, as well as from my sweet friend Claire, the stringed pearls were also from Michaels, trim from Prima, flowers are mostly Prima except that lush pinched rose from Jodielicious, the lush organza was sent from Elise, that gorgeous gal!! Pearls are Recollections stickers that I just sort of reshaped, lace from JoAnne Fabric, MS doily punch and a Stickled Wilton doily. Is that it? NO. Distressed in Vintage Photo, CS has been distressed with scissors and then stickled.

Sooooooo, I am going to enter some challenges:
House Mouse and Friends is having a birthday bash for their wonderful teamie America, Happy Birthday!!! I have not finished up the inside of my card, but I have my sentiment printed out, it says, "May you be the Prima Ballerina, on your Birthday and every day,"
at Totally Papercrafts they are having 'one for the girls',
I used the gorgeous sketch from Stamp With Fun and I thnk that is it, my blog runner is playing games and not loading, so I couldn't go a-hunting for more places to stick this in at, lol!!

I hope you will think about our challenge this week at Creative Inspirations and come back and move us with your amazing work!!

Take Care,
Stephanne

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi folks,
I have a card to share with you.
I tried to step away from the Magnolias,
but I am not so sure that was a good idea!!
My husband just kept saying,
"The mouses don't make any sense."

I am late on many of the challenges I made this for,
except for Stampin' For The Weekend
whose challenge is to use blue and brown,
and House Mouse Monday Challenge
whose challenge is nontraditional Christmas and
Stamp Something is having a
Winter Wonderland Challenge.
The sketch is from the previous fortnights
Creative Inspirations challenge.
Only 5 days late, that's not so bad...

The image is called CloseKnit Friendship by House Mouse,
coloured in distress inks and popped up
on foam dots for dimension.
The dotted paper is K&Co. and the flakes are MME.
The snowflake punch is MS,
coated in MS glitter and waterfall Stickles,
pins, lace and gems, the pretty goodies are from my stash
and the doiley, hahaha, it is by Wiltons....

I hope everyone out there is
doing okay with their Christmas agendas!!
I spent an hour in the post office today
and just have a few more things to make
before I can say I am done.
Would anyone like to make some fudge for me
and ship it out ASAP??
Any takers??? No!??? Nuts!!!
Take Care,
Stephanne

Simon Says get to stitching your House Mouse card!!

Hi there folks.
Ever get the feeling like the week has evaporated.
Seriously, it's Friday and I have accomplished
what seems like NOTHING all week!!
I've, at long last, completed a project
that I can't wait to share with you.

It's for this fortnights, yes, fortnights
House Mouse challenge,
they are celebrating their 1 year milestone
with A Year In Review,
so we are to go and find a past challenge that
we'd like to revisit and DO IT!!
Can you guess which one I've opted for?
Well, if you hadn't figggured, it's #8, Halloween!!
Why do their little bags look empty?
I want to stuff little tootsie rolls in there,
look how cute and eager they look!!
If I saw these dolls at my door,
I'd pour the whole candy bowl in their little bags!!
Awww, clearly I need to House Mouse more often.

And to pay homage to my mommy-on-the-go lifestyle,
I have incorporated the help of several other challenges
to arrive at one completed project.
Creative Inspirations Challenge Blog
have provided a wonderful sketch
for their 17th challenge.
(Scroll down to see the sketch)
At CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS,
their 28th challenge is to use an autumnal theme.
At Cupcake Craft Challenges
their 58th challenge is distressing.
And over at Simon Says Challenge
they want to see some stitching.
Or, errrrm, Simon Says STITCH!!

I've used an image called Just Clowning Around,
coloured with distress inks,
Martha Stewart and Recollections DP,
jute, hemp and buttons from stash,
I used my hunkajunk Smart Stitch without the string
for the faux stitching and
I've gone over the designs in pen,
the ribbon that looks like those itchy
car seat covers people brought back
from Tijuana in the 70's
is by Making Memories Autumn Splendor collection.
For the distressing, I've sanded, torn,
and also used my fingernail alongside the paper
to ruffle it up a bit and I've gone over it
with Vintage Photo distress ink.
And here's a look at that fab sketch,
which, of course, I flipped.

I was going for a vintage colour scheme,
and wanted to find something basic but stunning
to let the image shine.

Welp, thanks for stopping by.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Stephanne

Stop and smell the mousies

Hello to you!!
There is a fabulous sketch over at
House Mouse Monday Challenge
and I have squeezed out an entry,
much to the protest of my tot.
This has taken so long to make
that I haven't got much juice left
to give you interesting dialect :(

About the card, coloured with distress inks,
what an undertaking!!!
Sentiment from Stampabilities,
Tattered Angels glimmer mist in my image
and Martha Stewart punch,
K & Company papers, Prima flowers and stamen,
Kaiser pearls, everything else is from the stash.
Yes, I can officially say I have one, lol.

And here is the sketch.
Go have a look at the gorgeousness
the design team has made this week,
glorious as usual!!

Thanks for stopping by,
enjoy your weekend!!

House Mouse without colour on Carol's Sketch

Good afternoon,
Firstly, we have friendly neighborhood rabbits.
I love watching them grow and play.
They burroughed beneath my apartments front step
2 Easters ago, and since then,
well, you know what they say about rabbits,
so there is a whole gaggle of bunnies now.
Here is a picture I snapped of one of my bunny pals.

And with my muses hopping about,
nearly letting my tot and I touch them, nearly....
I found a stamp that I wanted to use
for this weeks House Mouse Monday Challenge
which is to NOT colour **gasp**
That's right, no colouring these little cuties in.
We were welcome to use other means of adding
colour to the image, like various inks or
piecing card onto the creation,
things of that nature,
but NO colouring.

So I flocked instead.
A little bit of stickles too.
Hey, other means, right?
I paper pieced the little frog and the umbrella.
I hope my interpretation wasn't too loose.

A little bit about the card.
The image is called Puddle Fun,
the sentiment is a reworked Stampabilities stamp,
and on the inside, I've added:
On your birthday and everyday.
the papers are K & Company and My Minds Eye,
Stampendous Fun Flock, Waterfall Stickles &
Martha Stewart pearls.
Sketch from Carol's Sketch Fun

The super-talented Carol
has started up a bi-weekly sketch challenge blog
so if you are like me and really benefit from a great sketch,
why don't you head on over and take a look.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my entry.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

The Pink Elephant challenge #20

Hello all,
another mid-day post,
just means I went to bed mid-project...
I've been venturing around in blogland
trying out different challenge blogs and
today I'm sharing an entry for
The Pink Elephant
This week they have provided a sketch to play with
and here's my take on it:

Lot's of favorite things here,
House Mouse stamp (Dreampuff),
Weathered Wood and Frayed Burlap distressing,
Basic Grey paper,
craft cardstock,
charm from Blue Moon beads,
coloured with my watercolour pencils,
flocked with Stampendous Fun Flock,
and some help from my Fiskars doiley punch,
to disguise my circular calamities.

I am happy to be joining in at TPE with a sketch
because that seems like easing in gently:

Great sketch, no??
I was lurking around their blog last night
and was wowed by how amazing the
DT's creations are week after week,
and am all-around impressed with the content ;)
I know, a little slow on the uptake, I am,
but happy to have found them, no less.
Well, thank you for coming by to see my project,
please feel welcome to leave a comment if you wish,
or stick around and check out some other cards
I've been creating lately.
Take Care,
Stephanie

The punch: Fiskars antique elegance.
