Furry Surprises meet with Creative Inspirations Distressing Challenge

Hello Lovelies,
I hope your week is off to a great start!!
Where I live in the States,
tommorow is the kids' last day of school...
The teachers seem to be a little overly-excited,
the parents on the other hand, well,
I can't believe it's that time of year again...
Anyhoo, it is Wednesday and it is time for
a new challenge over at
Creative Inspirations
and it is distressing!!
You can muss up your edges, tear up some cardstock,
ink up your sentiments, all of that if you wish,
but to enter this week, and you might want to,
there's a yummy prize up for grabs,
you need to have some distressing on your card.

This card features the darling Evie from Tickled Pink Stamps Lil Lolita's collection, she's coloured in distress inks with some Prisma pencil touches here and there, papers are from K & Company, punches are Martha Stewart, sentiment is computer generated and the flowers, lace, ribbon and other accesories are from my stash.

I've gone around my papers with Brushed Curdoroy distress ink and then roughed them up with scissors, and look who's back?? My sewing machine!!! Hip hip hooray!!Maybe I will make her a fancy cover after all, lol!! A lot of the punched leaves and branches were Stickled as was the lace on Evies outfit. Her buttons were done with Perfect Pearls, yes, I love Ranger products...

I printed my sentiment on Gina K cardstock and then fashioned it into a tag, distressed it and ran lace, ribbon and a bit of strung pearls through it to keep things nice and vintage-esque. Speaking of which, The ABC Challenge is up to V and gee, wonder what it will be.... I bring it up because Kellie of Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring them this fortnight, so you could have a chance at winning something that will tickle you pink if you play along!! Too cheesy of a pun?? Wanna know another way you could win stuff from Kellie???? She has decided to open up our weekly TPS design team challenges to everyone!!! Check it out here!!! The next challenge will be to use ribbon on your project, I made sure to plop a big ol' ribbon bow on my tag and run ribbon across my lace so that I could take part in the theme set forth for we Ladies of Pink this week, I'm always trying to multi-task so I can spend 6 hours on one project instead of having to hurry through 3 seperate things.

Waffle-loaded post, isn't it!!?!?

The sketch is from Friday Sketchers
Create4Fun wants to see a vintage card

Well, that just about does it for me, I hope we'll see you over at Creative Inspirations with your distressed projects this week!!
Until next time,
Stephanne

Tildas Berry Muffins

Hello my friends,
today is a brand new day in Australia,
Sunday, that is,
and that means that it is time for a new challenge
over at Magnolia Down Under,
we'd like to challenge you to make a
SHAPED CARD
For some of you talented ladies,
this is easy peasy, but for me,
this one was a head-scratcher,
so I was up all night,
at the last minute, naturally,
putting this muffin together...

I've used Tilda with Cowberry Muffin, I've used her muffin as a model for my muffin (quit saying muffin, right...), I drew out the shape myself, woohoo, added folded and glimmer misted paper to act as the cup, as well as some Martha Stewart punchwork to dress it up, much like the Love Muffin accesory stamp, ribbon to keep that momentum up, it is muffin madness I say!!

I've used the strawberry accesory stamp, popped up with dimensionals up to 3 times, I also added some flower wire twirlies to mirror the stamped image.

I've painted in distress inks, stickled the centers of the blossoms, I've used Copic Opaque White highlighting paint to clean up my edges and add Tildas dimples. The gingham and ribbon are from my stash.

How about some challenges?
Charisma Cardz Challenge 3D
Secret Crafter Saturday No Patterned Paper
Hrrrrrmmmm, well, that will have to do.
I see these mile-long lists on peoples blogs
and all I can manage is 2?
I must be slipping in my old age!!

I hope you'll feel inspired to think outside of the box and join us at our challenge this week at Magnolia Down Under. The samples are outragiously good once again, so at the very least, stop by for the inspiration!!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend,
I'll be back on Wednesday with my C.I. post!!!
Take Care,
Stephanne

Lil Lylah

Hello dear blogging buddies,
I've been trying to get my craft space into working order,
which can be tricky, as I am realizing
I still don't have enough storage or workspace,
but with things getting put away and sorted through,
I have access to a lot more of my goodies,
so without further ado,
here is my project for
Tickled Pink Stamps
The Boss Lady set us Pink Ladies a colour challenge
of Pink Cream/White and Black/Brown,
so I chose the darling Lylah to work with:

More info to come,
Lil Lolita's can be purchases at
Tickled Pink Stamps HERE
Sketch from Sketch Saturday
ASFOS wants to see cute and girly, check.

Phew, had to run to work, yes, I am always late there too...
I've used K & Co. papers, distressed them all with scissors and brushed curdoroy, the sentiment is from an Inkadinkado Brenda Walton clear pack, I've coloured Lilah in distress inks and cut her out and placed her on top of another image which was distressed in old paper and Inkadinkado swirls stamped in sepia Archival Ink were added then stickled in diamond. I couldn't help but be inspired by the doiley wonderwork I saw on Iris's blog, so gorgeous, thanks for the ideas!! I distressed the fabulous square doiley from Sue in tattered rose, then hit the edges with brushed curdoroy and then stickled the edges, such a lovely effect!! And the sewing round the edge just to finish things off means that my sewing machine and I are on speaking terms again, hooray!!!

It is good to get things simi-organized, I haven't been able to use my clear stamps in ages, it was great to get to them with ease, the sewing machine has it's own spot now, things are coming along in the craft room!!

Well, that about catches us up on details,
Take Care, and if you fancy sweet paper projects,
I made a Magnolia Muffin delight, just posted it!!

Creative Inspirations Card for a Child Challenge

Hello lovelies,
how have you all been doing?
I am going to guess
busy busy busy
is the way of it these days.

It is that time again,
another challenge over at
Creative Inspirations
and this week we'd like you to
make a card for a child!!
Our sponsor this week,
Lauretta's Digital Stamps
was kind enough to give
the C.I. girls some images to play with,
thank you Lauretta,
and this is what I came up with:

So you already know where the image came from, I've coloured in Prismacolor pencils, the floral paper and gems are K and Company, the dotty paper is DCWV, the flowers are prima, and the charm, organza and leaf are from the stash. I've used a EK Success punch as well.

I'm not sure who will recieve this card just yet, but I hope they go bananas when they see it, ahahahahaha, I slay me!! I guess my sentiment could say, "You're the brightest banana in the bunch" and it could be for a kids graduation or something, notice I've coloured the nanner to resemble that of a not-so-ripe specimen. I like my nanners with just a teeny bit of green left in them, so the fruit is still quite firm. How do your like your nanners.....

So here are some challenges I'll enter:

Charisma Cardz Challenge wants to see sweet treats. Well, what could be sweeter than natures bountiful bananas???
Cupcake Craft Challenges wants to see Blooming Charming creations
PaperTake Weekly wants us to Say it with Flowers
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is looking for metal objects
The ABC Challenge would like to see unused stash, papers, gems, flowers, pencils....
Soooooo, that should do it!!
I will have some more posts up this week,
a Lil Lolita and a Magnolia Down Under
creation soon to come!!
Take Care for now,
Stephanne

Belles 'nd Whistles Design Team Call

Hello lovelies,
I am back!!!
As any Belles 'nd Whistles fan knows,
they are having a design team call,
I think with the time difference between
mainland and Hawiian time,
there is still a chance to whip something up!!

I decided to try my hand this time around and make a project. I have seen a past design team call and just admired the stamps longingly, but I now own some, so there is really no excuse not to try out!! This stamp is called Wishes from the Spring and Cleaning Belles 'nd Whistles release.

I've coloured in distress inks on Neenah CS, cut out the image, shadowed the base image in Faded Jeans and layered them together leaving Belle's hand unadhered so you can see the movement ever so slightly. The paper is Magnolia, sentiment is Stampin' Up, the flower goodies and lace are from my stash, the punches are both Martha Stewart, oak leaf and branch and that fabulous square doily was supplied to me by my dear pal Sue.

OOPS, naughty firefly!!! I had to retake my photos once again after I noticed that!! The pictures are still a bit dim, but they are better than they were, now that I am not literally SHAKING from all the tornado sirens blaring right during my photo shoot!! Mother Nature frightens me, she can be unpredictable!!

Here's another close-up, hopefully you can see the Flowersoft and glittery stuff on the flowers that way. Thanks for looking, it would be my pleasure and an honour to work with the talent over at BnW!!!
Take Care,
Stephanne

Creative Inspirations Fairies Challenge

Hello my lovelies,
how have you been these past few weeks?!
I must apologize for being AWOL
from my blog as of late,
as many of you know I recently purchased a home
and taking on my new duties
along with all the usual stuff has not been easy.
Oh, no no no, I am not whining,
just saying I haven't found my new groove just yet,
there's soooooo much yardwork to be done,
which I love, mind you,
but it is a lot like laundry,
which I have tons of, it never ends!!
These are all very good problems to have, I know.
So you know where I have disappeared to,
you know what's brought about these bright colours,
my yard is in full bloom and it is sooo lovely!!
Waffle-much? Alright, on with the show,
today is Wednesday, and that means it is time for
Creative Inspirations
to present a new challenge and this week it is

FAIRIES!!

The fabulous Princess Kristy sent me this Stamping Bella stamp aptly called Tinkerbella to play with, thanks Toots!! By the way, Kristy has recently launched her online Australia-based craft shoppe Delicious Papercrafting, woohoo, congrats woman!! I've used her with BG Urban Prairie DP, loads of glitters, MS star punch and flower embellies from the fabulous Elise, thank you!! Not hoarding them, impressive, right?!?!? You'd think with all of these wonderful presents I never need to leave the house!! The sentiment is ancient Stampin' Up goodness, and hmmm, I believe that is all.

The sketch is from Sketch Saturday,
PaperPlay Challenges wants to see some bling!! Since I usually don't do bling, I better seize the opportunity!!

I love fairies so I am looking forward to checking out the projects this week at Creative Inspirations, I hope to see you there!!
Take Care,
Stephanne

Hello ladies and possibly a gentleman, today is Wednesday and that means it is time for a new challenge over at
Creative Inspirations,

a COLOUR CHALLENGE of
ORANGE, PURPLE and HOT PINK

CLP Challenges debut!!!

Hello Friends,
Today is a wonderful day,
the first of the month,
and that means that the amazing Chelsea
of Crafting Life's Pieces
has a new sketch for us to play with!!!
But wait, wait wait!!!
She recently decided to move her sketches
from her personal blog to a new challenge blog,
CLP Challenge Blog,
she was looking for a few crafty ladies
to join her in her new blogging adventure
and I thought I would try my hand at joining,
and woohootyhoo, I did!! Thanks Chelsea!!
Chelsea, myself and many uber-talented ladies
made the debut today, check the line-up out HERE
So without further ado, today is LAUNCH DAY,
here is my take on her gorgeous sketch!!

I won the lovely Belle with Laundry during a recent Belles and Whistles bloghop for their latest release, yay!!! I've wanted to ink her up since she arrived and finally, the time is here. Belle is coloured with, what, Prismacolor pencils. Those oven cleaner fumes have really done a number on me.... Basic Grey DP, except for the heart patterned paper, that is MME, the lush ribbon is from Elise, LOVE IT, thank you!! The flowers are stash, as are the lace, ribbon and pearls, and the little banners, well, yeah, I made them, I had to write out my sentiment as my printer is OUT of ink, not even a drip left, I bled her dry.

FORGOT TO SAY: This is for my mom for Mothers Day, I don't know any moms who've gotten away without doing loads and loads and loads of well, everything, including laundry, so I thought this stamp sorta says MOM, in a good way though, hahaha!!

Well, seeing as this is already late, the big reveal has already taken place, I better just get this posted!! I also thought I would join in at PaperTake Weekly, they want us to do something different. I coloured in pencils, that has become unusual. I do hope that we'll see you over at CLP Challenges, such gorgeous, versatile sketches!!!

Take Care,
Stephanne
