Hello folks,
it is time once again
for a new sketch over at
CLP Challenges
and as usual,
Chelsea has made something divine
for us to create with!!
We got ridiculously spoiled this month
by our generous sponsor,
none other than Chelsea herself,
she sent us DT gals some of her fabulous
Gurlee Girl images to work with,
this is Blossom Fairy Avie
and you can find her HERE,
thank you Chelsea, it was my pleasure ;)

I had a lot of fun putting this card together, I stamped Avie on several layers of purple vellum and Gina K 80 lb. cardstock, then pieced her together raising some areas with foam dots while gluing her into place in others (enlarge pic for detail), the papers are a mix of Prima (floral) and MME, I've used a medley of flowers, most distinctly, the center athena flower is Prima, tulle and pins, lace and ribbon from stash and fairy eggplant half back pearls are also Prima. The punch I've used around the image is by EK Success and everything was distressed in Brushed Corduroy.

On another note here, completely off topic, I have HORRIBLE news to share. My MS Doily punch fell apart at the henges last week and I have been a wreck ever since!! Do I run up the street and pay out the wazoo for a new one (that is against my religion by the way, they don't call me "coupon" for nothin'!!), do I stalk the newspaper ads and wait for a 50% off coupon for Michaels then drive 30 minutes to Michaels thereby cancelling out any actual savings once you factor in cost of gas and loss of time... You know, it did constantly pinch the fat of my palm when I pressed down on it, but it worked so I didn't mind, lol. Between the punch and the computer, I am in shambles!!

I will stop my whining (for now) and let you get back to your weekend!! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will get a chance to check out the sketch and join us over at CLP Challenges this month.
Hugs, stephanne

Ooh, she's so pretty! I love your vellum idea - I'll be putting that in my pocket for later! Sorry about your computer and punch woes... I feel your pain, only mine is from a sewing machine that's fighting back right now. *sigh*

So, I need a good source for Prima paper... got one? As far as Michael's coupons go, if I need something RIGHT NOW I print from retailmenot.com or dealspl.us (yea, that's a weird url, but it works). They don't do newspaper inserts here anymore, so I have to resort to the printable kind. Happy shopping!

Okay Stephanne, I don't know how you do it, but even in your times of distress (about the punch and the computer), you make me start giggling at your stories!!! I mean, I know it's not something to laugh about, but I can just picture you talking and running your hands in your hair like "Arrggggh! Why is EVERYTHING breaking?!!"

Well, your creation my dear is yet another STUNNING one! My goodness, all those beautiful layers! And these dp's and colors .. GASP .. they're GORGEOUS!! And and and the flowers? OMG, with the tulle, the pearl pins, the swirly whirly green thingy's ... FANTABULOUS!!! sigh ... I need to go back and stare at this for a bit more! ;) I love love love it!!!

Big Hugs to YOU!
Elise

First of all this is so gorgous!! I love the vintage feel!! I am SOOO joining CLP this month! Woohoo!! Secondly, you should take a pic and email MS about your border punch. My mom does that whenever she has problems with stuff like that and most often gets a new one!! They won't even want you to send your old one in. Hey it's worth a shot cuz I don't think it should have fallen apart. Have a great evening! Hugs!
