I just want to take a moment to promote a
couple of very worthy organizations,
Post Pals and Make A Child Smile
Both are set up so that sick children will be
showered in smiles when they recieve correspondence
from people via letters, cards, emails, gifts, etc.
Now, we being the crafting sort, should have no trouble
with this worthwhile task, as we are already peicing together
cutie-pie cards all day (or, if you're like me, all night),
but if the act in itself wasn't rewarding enough,
here's a little incentive to get ya good and motivated.
Ann's Summer Candy
It's open til July 1st, and what you'll want to do
to join in is make and send a card
off to a Post Pals kiddo.
Leave Ann a comment saying that you've done so,
and maybe even a Happy Birthday cheer;)
At Simon Says Challenge Blog
the challenge is to make and send a card to either organization and post on their blog any card made for your chance at a $25 gift certificate to shop at Simon Says Stamps!!!
A little incentive to sweeten the pot.
Once you've made your card(s), check out those links,
send out some hugs to sick children who SOOOOOO deserve a smile,
and help them keep track of who's been sent something by
reporting that you've done so in the
appropriate section of these sites.
