Happy Hallowe'en everybody!!!
Today, I hope to have a frighteningly fun time with my little guy, as he is nearly 4 and is really enthusiastic about the Hallowe'en happenings!! I sure hope that you all have a grand All Hallows Eve as well!!

I was tremendously lucky and won this Motivet stamp from Maria Therese, thank you Maria, I sooooooooo wanted this one but did not buy it, I resisted the cuteness, and would you look at that!!! I won it!!! Fabulous!!! So I put together a tag (what else!!) and used this darling kitty as the focal point!!

So you know who made the stamp, I hand-shaped a tag, added some yummy papers, lace, ribbon, brads and viola! Punched the bottom of the tag, made out of Gina K Kraft paper with the MS doily punch and there ya go, of course everything was distressed with vintage photo and scissors before adhering to the tag and I've coloured with my trusted distress inks.

I hope you all have a splendid evening, scare those children!!! But not too badly, we want them to come back next year, lol!!

All Good Things Must Come To An End TPS Blog Hop!!!

Hello there happy bloggers, and welcome to my blog!!
You are more than likely well on your way through our blog hop
over at Tickled Pink Stamps Store Blog,
meaning, that you arrived from The Amazing Maya's blog!!
If you've just wandered over to visit me *aww schucks*,
you may want to head over to the TPS Blog to begin at the beginning,
as this hop is jam-packed full of prizes and give-aways!!
Uh oh, now I've said too much!!!
On with the show!!!

Okay, here we go, sorry to those who came by already, shame on me!!I've used the scrumptious Lil Birthday Kellita available in digital or rubber at Tickled Pink Stamps, she's coloured with inks and pencils, and the papers are a mix of Basic Grey (snowflakes) and October Afternoon (dots).

On the inside, I will create a sentiment that says, "May the spirit of giving be with you now and all through the year," or some such similar phrasing. I want to mention that the influence for the snowflakes that I have added came from Kim Piggotts magical blog, in a recent post that you can find HERE, she described how she stamped snowflakes onto plastic and then glittered the opposite side, that was the A HA!!! moment, glitter the opposite side so you don't smear your ink, now I get it!! Thank you so much for always explaining what you do to help rookie crafters like me, Kim!!

I have joined a couple challenges, Basic Grey Challenges provided the lovely sketch and Colour Create Aqua, Purple and white provided the colours!!

And the list of the talented ladies joining in with the hop are:

Kellita Boss Waffler Winnell
Amy
Angela
Debbie
Fran
Jane

Angel Tilda Card and details on my Fundraiser Candy

Alas, the card that took a week!!
Gosh, I have been a wreck!!
Partially because of a cold, and in part because these emotional scars, and talking about my mom, knowing what is going on with our dearest Elise, a year ago, my Great Aunt died of progressive lung cancer that infested her entire body, just, phew, HARD. Have you had the chance to go on the worldwide adventure of the Inking Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop? There are loads of great projects and candies available, and we are promoting a great cause, SELF-AWARENESS!! I'd also like to take this opportunity to tell you about my candy, which can be found at the bottom of this post.

This was the project that was supposed to accompany the BY-DONATION-ONLY candy I am offering, it features the adorable Tilda, and she is coloured in distress inks, pinks and soft shades of teal, I am glad to have, at long last, completed my card. Instead of a sentiment, I have expressed myself with charms.

I'd like to enter this in the Just Magnolia Think Pink challenge, A Spoon Full of Sugars Let's Get Punchy Challenge, I know this is a bit of a stretch, but I am entering this at Magnolia Down Under as their theme is TRAVEL, and Angel Tilda has made her way down from the heavens to keep my dearest friend company through her battle with cancer, PaperTake Weekly is hosting a sparkly and bright challenge (definitely bright pinks happening here and lots of sparkle), at The ABC Challenges, G is for Glitter, indeed!!

Now about my candy that is going on via my Inking Pink bloghop post, just click HERE to be directed to it, I am offering this lovely bundle of goodies to one lucky lady, and in return for your entering the candy, I have asked that you make a pledge of $1 or more to benefit theNational Breast Cancer Foundation. I am collecting donations through Paypal, visit the DONATE button on the upper right hand corner of my blog to leave a pledge. Once the Blog Hop has ended, I will tally up all the pledges and forward them on to the National Cancer Foundation.

I'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to join in, if you'd like. And many, MANY thanks to the people who have supported me in my first attempt to orchestrate an online fundraiser, it means so much to me :)

And here is the prize on offer:

Well, that should do for now,
thank you so much for your visit today!!
warmest of hugs, stephanne

In addition to that, Tickled Pink Stamps has another reveal today, trust me, you will fall in love with this one, he is, well, I have already said too much!!! HE will melt your heart, I wish I could add a little water and stir an image of him and have the real deal appear right in front of me!!! No I don't, I would get nervous and start fidgeting and hide in the bathroom til he left.... Anyway.... clearly the cold medicine has crept into my imagination, head over to Tickled Pink Stamps blog to check out the newest addition to the family and see what you can do to win some new stamps!!!

Welcome to my Inking Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Candy!!

Welcome to our Inking Pink Awareness Hop! Our paper crafting community spans the globe and brings all of us together under a common roof. We are grandmothers, granddaughters, mothers, daughters, aunts, sisters, best friends, wives, cyber-friends and design team teammates. Many of us have family or friends touched by breast cancer and all of us want to encourage all of you to check yourself!

This hop will take you around the world, so please sit back with your morning coffee or evening tea and celebrate our stories and projects with us. Some of your fellow crafters along the hop are even offering blog candy! Please give a little comment love to each and every crafter along the way. We hope you enjoy our hop, and most of all we all want YOU to give yourself the greatest gift and do a self-check tomorrow. The more you do it, the more breast aware you will be!

Our hop starts at Patricia's blog so if you have stopped by my blog for a random visit, please head back to Patricia's to start at the beginning of the hop. Now, if you are well on your way through the Boobie Bonanza, then you came from Shelly's blog and you are right on track!!

my belated project, catch the details HERE

What I have to share with you isn't so much a craft as it is a story. My mother is a cancer survivor, and without taking you through the long version of the story, I will get straight to the point of what I want to share. She was diagnosed with uterine cancer when she was 27 years old, she noticed a strange cramping sensation in her gut and her menstruation had turned into an alarmingly bright shade of red. The fact is, that if she was not so in tune with her body, she may not have noticed the changes within herself. She made an appointment with her gynocologist, and at that point, there was nothing abnormal to be found within the routine exams. However, at her annual check-up several months later, there were telling and obvious signs of the disease and that is when she was officially diagnosed with stage 3 uterine cancer, doctors were able to confirm in that time, that the cancer was extremely aggressive, given the amount of spreading it had done in such a small amount of time, after all, she had very recently been in to get things checked out because of the unusual cramping and bleeding. In the end, she had to have her entire uterus and her cervix removed. She tried to hold on to her uterus, as she was wanting to have more children, and the doctors were willing to respect her wishes and simply remove, gosh this sounds gross, but remove chunks of her uterus where the cancer was, but it kept progressing throughout the uterus, and in the end, she had to settle up with letting that part of her life go. It wasn't easy for her, and in her own words, she truly didn't want to let doctors remove it, but her doctor sat her down and told her, "Don't get so caught up in what you want that you forget what you already have." For her, she had two young children, a husband and a home, and we stood the risk of losing her if she did not allow for the removal of her cancerous parts. Some story, huh? But I will leave it with her words of wisdom from her own experience and she told me that

"Attitude is everything when it comes to beating this thing. You've got to let them do what they need to do to make you better and stay positive."

I think what she meant was that you have to put your faith in the doctors and focus on your life as it is in the moment, and not worry about losses you may face in the future because of what is happening today. Be aware and alert of your own body and go and get checked up regularly. If you get in tune with yourself, and don't worry about the social stigma of feeling yourself, because by God, it could save your life one day!!!, anyway, get familiar with yourself and that will increase the likeliness of noticing when something just isn't right, and if you find something that just isn't right, go and get it checked out. I know that not all of us have the financial liberty of "just going" to the doctors, myself included, but there are many foundations and clinics that can help in times of need and our lives are certainly worth the extra effort it may take to find such clinics, that is for certain!!

Speaking of foundations..... I am offering a little "by donation" candy benefitting the National Breast Cancer Foundation. What you are being asked to do is to make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation by clicking the DONATE button in the upper right corner of my blog. Any amount over $1.00 is acceptable, and you can elect to have me pay the Paypal fees if you prefer. After you have left a pledge, come on back and leave your name with Mr. Linky for a chance at winning my candy!! I will let Random Number Generator select the winner after the Blog Hop has closed, as well as share with you all how much we were able to come together and give to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (I know I always wonder, so I am going to include the total donation amount in the winners post!!!)

Just think how big of an impact we stand to make if we all come together and give. A dollar alone doesn't seem like much, but a dollar from each of us could really make an impact.

And here is what I am offering as a prize to one lucky hopper, it is a winter craft pack with a darling Tilda image, (Elise lover her Magnolia stamps and I wanted to give something with her in my mind and heart) charms, snowflake buttons, several metres of craft trims and doilies for your sparkling pink winter creations:

REMEMBER: This is a fundraiser candy, you must first donate, I have asked a $1 minimum donation, no max, naturally, and the proceeds will be benefitting National Breast Cancer Foundation

This was meant to be!! I LOVE baked goods, really, making them, preparing for them, even letting the house become infested with fruit flies while waiting for bananas to ripen, and of course, EATING them, this is my favourite time of year indeed! Little Cherrie is sharing with you a delightful blueberry muffin, would you like a bite? Needless to say, I LOVE this Cupcake Cherrie image, adapted to be Blueberry Muffin with glazed sugar icing Cherrie for the purpose of this project.

Naturally, she's painted with distress inks and I gave her a little shadow with promarkers, the muffin was glittered in diamond stickles, the papers, little dots OA, big dots EP, floral Sassafras Lass (oh my gosh, so glad to have finally gotten my mitts on something with little blue flowers!!!) and text K & Co. The other goodies are from my stash.
I also want to pop this in over at Everybody Art they are hosting a colour challenge of Brown, green and blue, I used the sketch from PaperTake Weekly and over at The Crafty Pad they are hosting a distressed edges challenge.

**********************************************************

Now, here is the Pictionary part of my post:
Name the concept of this photo, what was the secret that Elaine revealed to Mr. Lipman, the key to muffin top success?
I am looking for one phrase in particular that will put you in the draw for a free Cupcake Cherrie digital image.

What you need to do to be in the running for the free digital Cupcake Cherrie image is leave me a comment with the correct phrase from the picture I've provided, just a hint here, it's from Seinfeld!! I will leave all the comments under moderation so your guess is safe!! No one will get to piggyback off of your answer!! I will take all of the correct responses and put them into a raffle and pluck one out of a hat to select the winner, which will be chosen on the night Tickled Pink Stamps releases Cherrie!! Sound fun?? Why not give it a shot??

The winner will be revealed when Cherrie is released at Tickled Pink Stamps this weekend!!

Time for Tickled Pink Stamps to show you their kitten!!!

Hello happy blogging buddies, how was your weekend?!!
Any baking, huh? Did ya, did ya, did ya? Thanks to those of you who responded to that inquiry in my previous post, by the way!! Now back to business; it is the start of a new day in Australia, which means we get to share with you another new addition to the Tickled Pink family!! This is a new character exclusive to TPS created by the woman with the magic pen, Marina Neira, and this kitty is one that we lovingly call Mollie Mittens and this, well, this is Birthday Mollie!! Now, as usual, Kellie of Tickled Pink Stamps is making this week of previews fun for all of us and is giving away more and more goodies, to see how you can get in on the chance to win free stuff, click HERE.

I love the vintage touches Marina includes in her images, so while painting, I banked on that concept, with a rusty red dress, pin-striped ribbon and big, rosy cheeks, papers are K & Co., flowers are from I Am Roses and I painted with distress inks!! I used the sketch from this weeks Crafty Creations, thanks ladies, love it!!

Mollie will be available this Friday in digital and rubber, wahoo!! I figure, though, that if we all team in at nagging Kellie, she may just buckle and release her earlier, wink wink!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, there's another action-packed week coming on my blog, so there's the warning, lol!!
Enjoy the rest of your day!!

Josie in a hat, newest member of the TSB digital family!!

Hello my lovelies,
how has your day been so far?
Any crafting or baking or jam-makin' going on? I keep asking and no one will answer me!! I want to know who has made a fresh apple pie!!!! Tell me!!!!! Well, pie making aside, I have a card to share with you today with The Stamping Bazaar's latest digital release, it's called Josie in a hat and you can get yours HERE! I just love Marina Neiras critters, those fun, quirky details and oh so expressive eyes, each new design gets another, "awwwwwww" out of me!!

I wanted a really country chic look on this card, so I got some laces, some flowers, some homey papers (k &co.) and some cat tails from outside in my yard and well, that's it!! I decided this little kitty would be best suited for my country themed card as an orange tabby, so I studied the lines of Mrs. Stinks, my gorgeous cream point cat, and coloured Josie in with prisma pencils.

Well, thank you so much for stopping by!!
Don't forget to enter my Hansel rubber stamp giveaway, the link is in the top right hand corner of my blog!! Have a great weekend, make some pie!!

Tickled Pink Stamps October Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone, how has the crafting been going for ya?
As my blog indicates, I have been swamped with projects,
in a really good way though, lol!!
Tickled Pink Monthly Sketch Challenge
posts a new sketch on the 8th of the month, this sketch, you are sure to love, it is easy to use, keep it simple, make it extravagant, the choice is yours!! And without further ado, here is my sample for the blog:

You can find the sketch in my sidebar under NEED A SKETCH, I have used the fabulously spooky Ghost Willow, now available at Tickled Pink Stamps in digital format, she is painted with distress inks and glittered with stickles, the paper is Prima, the pearls are Zva Creative and the other goodies are from my stash, the sentiment is computer generated, punched at the end with an ek success punch and distressed and stickled.

To sum up, creepy and feminine and packed with symbolism. And for someone who will definitely appreciate the symbolism.

Okay well, I will have yet another post tomorrow,
so I hope I didn't spook you too badly, lol!!!
Any plans for the weekend??
I am thinking about taking my little guy to a Renaissance Faire, won't that be interesting!? He is just about 4 and is finally gaining a sense of fear, I wonder if those armour-clad gent's are going to frighten him? We shall see if I am mistaken for a serving wench whilst there, lol!!
take care, stephanne

Belle and baby Eden-GDT BNW + blog hop stamp winner!!

Hello happy bloggers,
I hope all is well with you!!
Today I have the pleasure of creating a sample for the Belles 'n Whistles Blog and I decided to have some fun with the new collection, as well as little Eden with Teddy from the Forever Young release!! In other Belles 'n Whistles news, DT member Lynda has put together the most fabulous new challenge blog for these gorgeous stamps that will be launching it's first bi-weekly challenge this coming Monday, stop by the new Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog to check it out!!

This is the result of an idea that came to me while participating in the Belles 'n Whistles blog hop. Looking around, from project to project, I saw the wonderfully versatile Every Belle, she appears so poised and proud, and well.... doting!!! And then I got an idea!! Why not turn her into a proud mom!?!

I added in a few accesories, the table from the gift and table stamp bundle and the stuffed teddy from the Puppy, doll and teddy stamp pack, and a computer generated sentiment, "There is no greater love than that between a mother and her child." I LOVE little Eden with Teddy, because she, too, could very well be playing pretend with her teddy, taking care of it, just as Belle is looking over little Eden. That is the charm of these adorable Elisabeth Bell creations, they have such cute expressions and heartwarming details.

By placing Eden before the horizon line and popping her up on foam dots, while stamping Belle off to the side, further back and with heavier shadowing, I hope to have achieved decent enough scale to balance out the scene I've attempted with these lovely images. I've coloured with distress inks and my papers are by Little Yellow Bicycle (blue) and Prima (pink), pearls and white flowers are Prima and the leaf punch is ek success.

And before I go, the winner of the stamp of their choice from the new Changeabelles collection, as selected by Random Number Generator, is #62, Vanja, congratulations!! Please get in touch with me to let me know which image you would like :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,
hugs, stephanne

As some of you might have noticed, InLinkz went and SUSPENDED service to new members, which is all well and good if you already had an account, but those of us who didn't, well, uhhhh, put out in the cold without a jacket or shoes on a cold winters night, in essence. HOWEVER, the linky is now available and ready for your entry. Super-cute, patriotic prizes await you, please do feel welcomed to go over and check it out!!

There have been two characters released in digi format, Hansel with presents, who is a great design for any occasion, and Jolly Josie, that loveable kitty complete with holiday getup, just in time for that seasonal crafting that awaits us all!!! Find them in store at The Stamping Bazaar now!!

And now, last but not least, a little rubber give-away. This was planned to be given away about a month ago, but even the best laid plans encounter hiccups!! (i didn't want to give a deer away during hunting season!!) On the other hand, this is a wonderful image for fall, with wildlife in abundance as well as wildflowers, can't you just see Hansel emerging from the thickets with a bundle of wildflowers just for you?!?! I can....

Just add your name to Mr. Linky and pop the picture and link into your sidebar, that will do!!
I am not asking you to follow me unless you like my work,
then by all means, please do.
This candy is open to anyone, anywhere, with one provision: YOU MUST LOVE ANIMALS!!!!
I will let random number generator select a winner on October 16th.

Good luck!!

Octobers Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge: Multiples!!

Hello ladies and gents,
this ought to be the last of my whirlwind of posts until next week, it's the first Friday of a new month, which means it's time for a new challenge over at The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges!! Woohoo!! Where we get together once a month and present you with fun challenges to help encourage you to get those critter stamps inked or printed and play along for the chance at some fabulous prizes!! This month, the challenge is to use multiple images, with the added twist of making your project SPOOKTACULAR!!! With Halloween just around the bend, this month is a simple time to challenge you all to use multiple images on your projects, a pumpkin, a spider, a bat, a spooky sentiment in addition to your animal or critter focal point and there ya go, you're in!!

We also have a few of our teamies who are celebrating their birthdays this week, the amazing Sue's birthday is today and our darling Zoe is having a full-on birthday week, her birthday was a little earlier on in the week, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADIES!!!

With harvest time in full swing here in the Plains, this Autumnal themed wall hanging started evolving. I've used a combination of images: Fall Fun Kitty by Whipper Snapper, Squirrels Little Acorn by MelJen, get yours HERE at Whimsy Stamps, Pumpkin from the Going Batty Digi set by Heather Rolin, it can be found HERE at Tickled Pink Stamps, TPS is sponsoring with the digi stamp set of the winners choice, by the way, and the background stamp is called Old Oak Tree and you can find it HERE at Make It Crafty, Zoe, fellow fuzzy gal and owner of MIC is sponsoring us this month as well, and indulged the Design Team with the use of her stores digi designs, and let me tell you, they are gorgeous!!! Thank you so much for your sponsorships Zoe and Kellie, we truly appreciate it!!

I cropped my oak tree image and printed at a custom length and width to try and get the right proportion for the other images, I have coloured the tree with pencils and then distressed to create a shadow with weathered wood. The other images were coloured with distress inks and popped up with foam mounts.

I secured my ribbon by knotting it (hey, going for that country bumpkin look after all) through the front side of the grommets that were added, all punches used are by Martha Stewart, doily, oak leaf and rose leaf, and that gorgeous paper is by Pink Paislee.

I hope that you animal lovers out there will head on over to The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges and check it out!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and happy crafting!!

Tickled Pink Stamps Birthday Stamp Set!!

Hello and good morning to you all!!
Me again.... Here to tell you more about Tickled Pink Stamps birthday celebration taking place this month. Last night was the kick-off of our month-long event that is packed full of fun releases and give-aways. We have a gathering of mega-talent to be showcased on the TPS Blog and if you haven't already caught wind of it, stop by HERE and sign up to follow us, because I can assure you, some of these new designs that will be released this month are going to knock your little fuzzy socks off!! Starting with this new Tickled Pink Birthday set by the talented Heather Rolin, I have used a series of cupcakes to go along with my Pink Ladies theme project.

You know, this made perfect sense in my head when I made it, but often times, I am in my own little world and when other people see it, they just scratch their heads. Now, the Grease quote makes sense since we are The Pink Ladies, after all, but the cupcakes, well, I think it works because of the content of the Grease song and since we Pinkies are soooo sweet, lol, Pink Cupcake Ladies, like, if we were cupcakes, this is what we would look like.... Okay, well, as I said, these things make sense in my head and then I have to "explain" myself, which is never sensible. I just didn't want to have to spell out shibby dibby dibby dibby boop bop doo woopie boom, or uhhh, don't quote me, lol!!

You'll want to stop by and check out what the other pinkies have made with the images from this set, a yummy lot of images indeed!! It will be available at Tickled Pink Stamps at 6 pm on the 2nd (aus). Well, I will be back with one more post before the day is over, so I will see you soon and thanks for stopping by!!

Crafting Life's Pieces Sponsored by Spesch Stamps!!

Hello to you all out there in blogland!!
Long time, no see....
Yeah, not really!!
It's the start of a new month, and the magical Chelsea, designer of those magical sketches over at the CLP Monthly Challenge Blog has made us something utterly fabulous to work with!! We are sponsored by Spesch Stamps this month and have the added treat of sharing the DT floor with the design team of Spesch Stamps, you are in for a treat!!

For this card, I have used a Spesch Hallowe'en image called Rose and you can find it HERE. I had fun colouring her, her hair has these great waves in it, to tuck colour in it just so, just a touch of glitter and a stripe or two with a highlighter pen, and wow!! I coloured her in distress inks, I gave her umbrella an overhaul by modgepodging some black lace over the form of the umbrella then adhering the shape to the image with foam mounts.

The paper is by GCD Studios, the doily and little white flowers are Prima, the pearls are Zva Create and the rest of the items are from my stash.

I hope you have some fun crafty stuff planned for the weekend!! I am really interested in seeing what everyone is doing as far as Hallowe'en and autumn projects are going, I guess I have to wait another week or so, eh? Just a wee bit too soon on that one!! I plan to do some baking and gardening this weekend while the weather is so heavenly!!

I hope you will pop in at CLP Monthly Challenge Blog, the sketch this month is pure bliss and the prize will make you smile in anticipation!! I've posted the sketch in my sidebar, but really, you ought to go over there and see it!! Gorgeous work this month!!
Til next time, stephanne
